What the hell are you talking about? It’s college, this isn’t unusual.

Time to see what guys like Weston Davis and Tyree Adams can do.

And this is why the bowl game is not meaningless.

They need more reps than that. It's like bringing a guy up to MLB and he only gets an AB in blowouts or plays once a week... doesn't work. Guys need to play game-in, game-out, drive-in, and drive-out.

You also want to build their confidence - the unknown about if or when they're going to play doesn't exactly instill that.

I can’t imagine Brian Kelly actually spent 17 hour days in the office earning his pay with where we currently stand.

how many hours do you think he would have needed to lift to keep 2 high round draft picks and 2 guys without any eligibility left?

Wow, this is deja vu all over again as Yogi Berra would say. MANY posters last year said almost exactly the same things about another LSU unit...the DL, especially the DTs. And what happened? Oh yeah, the DL was probably the strength of the defense with the DT doing just fine! You Chicken Littles need to geta new schtick. It was incompetent nonsense last time and will probably prove yet again to be ridiculous.

Well, just bringing back Jones wouldn’t made this offensive line championship caliber anyway.

Yeah was he supposed to fricking play other lineman over the seniors and high draft picks?

How are people blaming him for this

I know cheater and Mubenga left a bad taste in people’s mouths, but I dint think Mubenga was option 2 at LG. It wasn’t just Dellinger going down, but our top OL Backup Adams was out too with that sport hernia.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone much less the coaching staff as this was always going to be the case after last season.

And this was also before there was a small chance Emery Jones would return given how he played this year.

We'll see how it shakes out, but I am hoping they have recruited well enough/get dudes in the portal to fill out the line this year.

LSU is fricked next year. Portal or not, you will be playing with guys who probably have never played as a whole unit together and it will be a fricking clown show. Nuss is going to have to play like Burrow and Daniels to cover all the mistakes this Oline will make. If not, he will get hurt.

LSU had a bunch of unknowns and youngsters playing the offensive line when LSU won the SEC West in 2022.

I wonder what the record is for career false starts by a center as a freshman non starter?

So what. We had subpar o line play this year and I believe new life at that position group is needed. Can't do much worse at LSU than we did this year. Our line play was a huge disappointment.

Probably a reason Solomon Thomas flipped

Every position including Chester’s should be open competition

Exactly right. Chester doesn't get a freebie.

Pass blocking was great at times, but got dicey in the back half of the season once teams figured out that Nuss was not going to run if no one was open or if the pocket was breaking down.

2 sacks allowed prior to Dellinger going down with injury, then 12 sacks in the final 4.5 games. Cause and effect, hmmmm?

I mean, yes that had a negative effect as well, but Florida had 7 sacks against us. Dellinger was very good, but not a 7-sack difference.
