Man, this went all doom and gloom really quickly. There's a lot of really young + talented guys we have that could (and IMO, should) be ready to play next season.

Tyree Adams/Weston Davis/Ethan Calloway/Ory Williams at T, Chester/Curne/Solomon Thomas at G, Echols at C

(my view, and I've said this other places, is Chester moves off of C + they slot Echols in there, which is what I've heard through folks that know Coen is where LSU views him)

Brad Davis ain’t coaching them up that’s for sure. The talent might be there but they will not be very good.

Let’s pump the brakes and see what happens in the offseason. And if nothing changes, then you can panic.

Pass blocking we shall see.

Pass blocking was great at times, but got dicey in the back half of the season once teams figured out that Nuss was not going to run if no one was open or if the pocket was breaking down.

See, while I agree, Kelly has proven throughout his entire career to be able to make O-Lines really good with suboptimal parts. I have faith he can at least make us an average line next year

Exactly. We’ve recruited well and a new crop will get their shot next year and will be getting plenty of reps in the Spring and Fall practices. We likely now will add one or two from the portal with both tackle positions wide open. The recruit from Arkansas physically looks like he can step in right away. Let’s see Davis coach them up.

The worst one returns and by worst I mean by a lot. He was awful. Maybe kid from Laurel, who is getting rave reviews at MS/AL all star game, can come in and play.

Happens every year; get used to it. This is how college football runs now.

cant believe this is only happening to LSU

BK has lost complete control of this program, no other school is seeing mass portal exodus

A few years ago we started two true freshman at our tackle positions (Campbell & Jones) and they turned out ok. We will be fine.

And this year we started two redshirt freshmen on the offensive line and they were two of the worst players on the field...

you realize that any fan paying attention at all, much less the coaches, knew this 12 months ago.

It is premature to make a judgment about the OL for next season. I assume that the starters were the best players or they wouldn't have been starting to begin with. However, in a push of ability and talent, obviously the veterans get the tiebreaker to start and should get the edge. The OL this season blocked well in pass protection but couldn't open a hole for a RB to save their lives. I admire Durham and Alexander whose yardage mainly were yac...yards after contact.

We have the last two recruiting classes. Guys are in line... they may not be as experienced as we would like, but they are there and it's this staff's job to get them ready, and we have a bowl game, a spring practice and camp next year to do it. Its why we pay these people.

The entire oline sucked. Worse LSU oline ever. Couldn't even pick up 1 yard on 3 and 4th downs. Good riddings. I'd rather start off from scratch

You're just figuring this out.

I've been saying they have to hit the portal hard. You need 2/3 guys for sure.

Bowl preps will be HUGE for the OL and the game itself will certainly ID any strengths and weaknesses going into the offseason. Coaches are really going to have to shape this group into a competing unit....and right off the bat vs Clemson.
