You can have as many on field coaches as you want now. Only 11 can recruit off campus though.

1 of those 11 is the HC. So, 10 position coaches for off-campus recruiting. But as you stated, you can have as many as you want for actual coaching.

We have about five times more coaches than we really need. You don’t see Bama rolling out coaches like this.

I’d argue that not many teams have the staff numbers as a Bama & UGA

That being said, Bama isn’t the standard any longer - Saban is gone

I think it’s weirder that we have two wide receiver coaches.

Isn't one technically the TE coach? I don't think we have one of those.

I know one is called the slot receiver coach. Might be tight ends too which makes sense.

Nick Saban literally started the model of over hiring staff and analysts.

I want infinity coaches. I'd have a separate coach for every player if I could.

I'd still love for them to have Kyle Williams and Coach O in the mix somehow, an analyst a run stopping specialist, anything.

That being said, going to trust Kiffin all the way right now.

Defensive line is the one place where you can have all kinds of different body types and ranges of athletism. If each guy can teach techniques for anyone we recruit to make us better I welcome them

Different viewpoints, strengths etc. Not every coach teaches the same things well. What's wrong with more eyes and brains developing your talent as long as they dont contradict one another?

Same goes for the wr coaches.Different skillsets between outside and inside wrs particularly in this age.

We should have 4-5 Oline coaches to make sure they get that right for a change

I often thought Brad Davis and some of the offensive coaches just watched Netflix during the week instead of watching the game film since nothing seemed to change from game to game.

No. Now that you can have analysts practicing with the team, you will see a more NFL-like model where you have assistant coaches specializing in one area.

Have a downvote and go find something that’s actually worth bitching about.

We need about 5 OLine coaches, one for each position

Not necessarily bad but you would question it a bit if a coach was brought in to help CR.
