How qualified was Saban?
Michigan State was 16-18 the 3 years before Saban.

The next 4 years under Saban Michigan went 25-22-1.

In 4 years he marginally improved a 500 type team by fielding 500 type teams.
In 99 he did manage to go 9-2. Saban had never won a bowl game as a head coach.
You may not remember the Saban hire, but I do. Plenty of people were scratching their heads.
Coach O will prove to be either a great, good, or bad hire given time.
He has 4 years left on a 5 year contract. Before the Coach E hire, I would say Coach O was bullet proof for at least 3 of those 4 years.
With the Coach E hire, I'd say he has 2 years tops and maybe less to get back to competing for SEC championship.
So if you really hate coach O, you should be happy that about the new OC. If everyone performs at the level you expect, we will be going through the head coach hiring process again as soon 2019.
You can bitch about things that might happen all you want. It won't change anything.
Or you can sit back and wait to see what happens and maybe enjoy some football.

I remember when I hated your unrelenting love of Les Miles regardless of his failures on the offensive side of the ball for years. Its amazing how much I now agree with you in the present. Well said.

What? You're either qualified for the job based on experience or you're not. Given the experience and success of the offensive coordinators LSU hired previous to Ensminger, I'd say Ensminger is extremely unqualified for the position.

Unqualified? The man was a Broyles finalist after his season at Pittsburgh.
If anyone is “unqualified,” it’s O. To not have a proper OC search after he talked Alleva into spending $3M to hire and fire Canada only to hire a man that was on staff before the Canada hire even happened. Nothing against Ensminger but if O cared as much as he wants everyone to believe he does, there would have been an actual OC search.
