Everyone immediately sides on one side of the debate between “contract vs no contract” and haven’t looked back to the other side. Not saying I agree, but that’s what happened.

Ross Dellenger made LSU the "bad guy" from the beginning and didn't give a damn about the other teams because he knew he made some buddies from the other SEC teams.

The rest of the media jumped because they knew using LSU and Kiffin in their reporting, they would have a big audience or clicks.

ratings, clicks, etc. mean more to the media (and not just social media) than facts.

Also, 5 for 5 is in effect, right? Shouldn't everyone past 5 years be ineligible?

Yep. A piece of paper that is signed that allows a good rookie free-agent player to continue trying-out to make a NFL Roster.

The same thing happened when everyone said that we were tampering with Demond Williams. Then it happened again when Wade was recruiting international players. People lost their damn minds then it turns out LSU just got there first. That is what really pisses them off more than anything. We keep beating them to the punch.

Don’t allow yourself to be driven insane by others who are actually insane.

It’s honestly a compliment. It means we’re the big dogs. No other program is worth mentioning apparently.

Out of curiosity, why has the Big10 had no problems with the exact same rule as the SEC?

They are allowing exceptions for the guys that went to mini camp but did not sign like the SEC.

But, also like the SEC, have banned players that signed contracts this summer. Right?

What's different in the SEC?

It’s because the players coming back to their favorite college football team suck just a little more. Had our guys been cut a few weeks earlier none of this would be in the news or courtrooms. But since the players we recruited are just a few weeks worth of camp more talented, it’s a bigger deal. Even though it ends up being the exact same result in the end.

I think the bottom line is that they realize that Kiffin combined with LSU is a problem for the SEC and college football as a whole. They don't mind us winning now and then, but the see Bama declining and I don't think Birmingham wants a super power in LSU. Maybe I'm wrong. I think they know what Kiffin brings and with LSU's talent and resources, it is trouble.

So I’m assuming the edge from ND is all good to go? I haven’t heard him mentioned in the last few days

There’s a lot of mental gymnastics being done to justify this. People are contorting themselves into pretzels coming up with excuses to say: “oh, but that’s different.”

Basically, it appears any other SEC program can play these players. LSU, however, is not allowed. LSU has ground for a huge suit.

If we can’t roster/play these guys, then so be it.

Use it as motivation to beat the shite out of the rest of the conference on the field this season.

Meanwhile, LSU’s attorneys can be doing their thing behind the scenes.

There is so very much money at stake in the SEC and NCAA maintaining their control of the cash funnel that they have enlisted all of the regular suspects in the CONTROL.

I am surprised that you haven't noticed this happening before with other issues but maybe you are young. Never trust or even listen to the Corporate Press.....they are all owned by the same people and will come together to get the outcome that they want......Hell look at Chicken.....he is on their side in this issue.

The distinction between exploring an option and actually roster-building is vital. Under the current landscape, LSU is the only college football program that has actively rostered and intends to field former NFL players.

It's astonishing we're this far into this ordeal, and people are still broadcasting how misinformed they are.
