And as an LSU fan, I wasn't pumped for the national championship like I would have been if I still felt like LSU had something to prove... like if the game was against Oklahoma State.

This is exactly how I felt before the game.

Yeah.. it was strange feeling indifferent about LSU being in the national championship game.

It's like I was happy just to be there so I was just going to watch the game and relax since LSU already beat Alabama and didn't have anything to prove.

And while the LSU players were probably feeling the same way, Alabama and their players were chomping at the bit waiting to get revenge.

If LSU had dropped a game then maybe I would understand having to play ya'll again but we didn't. We had to prove it again in a system designed on resume in a game based on the motivation and psyche of such young men.

I really think we would beat Bama in a 3rd game.

So... when it happens next, and LSU benefits, we will put you down in the category that thinks LSU doesn't deserve to be there.

So if LSU losses to Alabama at home, and Alabama goes undefeated beating 8 ranked teams and LSU gets a do over, would I be ok with it?

First of all, what we witnessed hasn't happened I don't think since in 1959 LSU vs Ole Miss.

2nd...LSU won the first meeting in 1959, this year LSU won on the road (both cases, LSU lost in the rematch 21-0, interesting)

3rd... I don't like Alabama but if they won on our field and won the SEC, I would not argue that LSU deserves to play them in MNC because we good...I am man of principal...I don't' change because it benefits me or my team.

I look at the SEC championship as like a bracket...the winner of the SEC gets the opportunity to represent the SEC for the National championship (if they are ranked high enough).

Carlton, I felt the same way. I started a thread hoping to discuss the psychological aspect but gave up. CrimsonFlame's simple post opposed to my attempt said it all.

BS LSU players knew they were forturnate to beat Alabama and wanted know part of them again.

They knew that pulling off the upset again would be down right impossible.

If you even have to ask or wonder about this, you lost before the game kicked off.

I understand you feeling the way you do but I think LSU and Alabama were the two best teams in the country and therefore should have played in the NC game. If we had been in the east you would have had to play us again in the SEC CG anyway. We played Florida twice in 92 when we won the NC game.

I think honestly that Alabama was just a better football team this year than LSU.

A rematch for the SEC is acceptable (required) and happened a few times.

Losing the game of the century didn't hurt Alabama

This is better than that blatantly racist thread of the same title that got whacked around 4:00 this afternoon.

plain and simple MIles is responsible for the loss
Saban is responsible for the win

I do not believe AL is the better team for the year

They may be equal they were certainly better on 1/9

BS, we went into BDS in front of 100k and beat you. Don't write that off.

Does the Tide really think that we gave them our best shot on the 9th?
