I walked into my exec admin meeting this morning and the first topic discussed was a suite for the game. This is a hospital run by Jewish dudes from out of state filled with Tulane grads on the board and exec team. I just laughed, turned in my patient data and walked out. That’s the type of people that will fill up the Dome in a few weeks.

Someone is an entitled a-hole and it’s not the people shelling out $2k a ticket....it’s you.

I see people who said they made the cut already trying to sell tickets at a significant profit.

So what are they making, a couple thousand profit at best? I've had this talk with a coworker already. It's games like this why you want season tickets and why you donate to LSU to get on the priority points list. It's the ability to go to a once in a lifetime event, and instead they want cheap money that'll probably be spent in a week. When instead, they have the opportunity to go to the game and watch history in the making. Blows my mind. Joe Burrow is our generation's Billy Cannon. Just think how long we milked the 1958 team and Billy Cannon stories. We are seeing a modern day rendition of that, with our very own eyes!

Whatever profit they can make from selling tickets is chicken shite compared to the memory they could have for life. shite, if you're that hard up for money, form a side hustle LLC and make a lot more.

I mean, that’s one way to look at it.

Or you could look at it like this:

You dumped money into games like Northwestern State, Utah State, Arkansas and Georgia Southern and get the reward of buying face value National Championship tickets. But was it really worth it? How much did all of that cost you?

I’ll just buy third party Natty tickets and I’ll still come out cheaper than you. But congrats on being a “real fan.”

Eta: this is probably better directed at tigerpawl than you

We made the cut and got two. I never had a vertical leap that high even in HS. I could certainly use the money and I will be up in the nose bleed end zone sections. However, the only way you will be getting these from me is my cold dead hands. Geaux Tigers!!

lifelong LSU fans and season ticket holders are looking for tickets. problem is that the game is priced so the common person can't go to the game.

I'd love to go, but not for $2,000 to sit in the terrace in the Superdome... I mean, shite.

This isn’t true. I’m a 2 year season tickets holder and have donated $100 a year for 8 years. That’s very doable for the average person. I don’t make a lot of money and I got tickets through LSU. People just need to understand the system and how it works.

My parents have had season tickets since I was 6 years old. I've maybe missed 5 or 6 games since 2000. 25 now and I've never been to a National Championship Game. I would do just about anything to be in that dome on January 13th. It's ashame that rich a-holes/bandwagon fans with money that haven't been to a game in years will be in there and not the die hard fans that go to almost every game.

You’re wrong. I’m not rich and made the cut by almost 1000 spots. Y’all just aren’t using the system correctly.

ETA: I’ve donated maybe $800 or so dollars to LSU over the last 8 years. That’s peanuts compared to what season tickets cost yearly.

I'll always cherish that $175 student ticket I got in 2007. No travel expense, no lodging needed. If I only knew that would probably be my last championship in person, I probably wouldn't have gotten so drunk.

That’s a gross oversimplification. Plenty of people are looking for tickets, others got tickets. Not just band wagoners, not just die hards. You guys are morons sometimes.

Those “fans” that laugh at season ticket holders for paying MSRP for tickets aren’t laughing now. There are a plenty on this site.

The money saved from only going to the games you want to and not paying TAF fees and what not likely offsets the over face cost of going to this game if you want to go down that road.

Ticket prices are trending down on Stubhub. $800+ now compared $1100+ 2 days ago.

I remember in 2003 my Nokia cell phone (the one with snake) was blowing up with people i hadn’t heard from in a while. I didn’t mind it—it was a crazy time and I can identify with their desperation to get into what was then the toughest ticket in the history of louisiana.

Every person who left me a voice mail offered me money. I’ll let y’all guess what the smallest offer was.

Friends and family members of the Sugar Bowl committe in New Orleans give them out. I had a couple of free front row seat for the 2011 NC fiasco against Bama in the Dome. Unfortunately I dont have the hook-up this year.

FWIW I have spent $1,505 on tickets to the three post season games ($130 x2, $175 x2, $425 x2, and $15 x3). This doesn’t include travel to Atlanta twice (Gas, Food, Hotel...).

We were willing to do this knowing how rare this is. We are not OT rich (we are not OT Poor either), and I have only been a season ticket holder since I graduated in 2013. I got a lot of points for being in the TAF collegiate club and recent grad program. I’m luckily 7700 and fully expected not to get NCG tickets. I would not have been mad either, as the people above me have obviously had tickets longer than I have and have donated much more than I have.

The LSU god’s blessed me with good Karma I suppose because I have sold plenty of big tickets to LSU fans for face value over the years (This year’s Bama game, Lambeau, etc).

It is times like this that make all those tradition fund fees....philanthropic donations...etc worthwhile. Loge seats from LSU at face value.

I also was given free courtside seats last month for basketball as a thank you from Tiger perks.
