She stands with the soy boys, its a racial thing. Regardless of players, the coach is off the reservation and needs to be reeled in.

He said she said is not all that interesting to me unless people want to start verifying those claims. Otherwise that is mulkey just being defensive.

The article was a nothing burger. Seems like that was the final conclusion from all sides

Of course Milkey was defensive. She's been open about the issues with her father in the past. Finding out the reporter was spending time with him and promising former players anonymity for negative stories obviously didn't sit well with her.

Doesn't really seem that complicated.

You don’t have to be smart to know that ended up not being a hit piece and likely would have drawn very little attention if not for Mulkey capping

But you have to be really, really dumb to fail to see that Mulkey's reaction caused the article to be re-edited. Or maybe just really, really dishonest.

It’s not complicated at all. Doesn’t make it a hit piece. Nothing new was learned. No new allegations. Nothing.

There is no doubt in my mind that WAPO editors scrambled to edit after Kim called this USCe dildo out. All someone like CKM has to say, becuse she has the name and the MONEY to sue, is “My lawyers will scrutinize it carefully” and the writer gets read the riot act that it had all had better be factual.

That LA Times shithead is gonna be a scapegoat because of the dirty debutantes comment. He should have googled first, too. He can’t take that one back.

I actually believe UCLA coach could have posted the la times article without reading it or simply glancing it over. If she does this a lot though, that’s a bad idea. The dirty debutantes is every bit as bad as nappy headed hoes. I bet la times never even reprimands the writer though.

After the Sandmann lie they were probably more worried about their tattered reputation than a financial judgement but they clearly reacted to her statement. But go ahead, keep pretending that you can't see the obvious truth.

The first that I heard about this was from a tweet from that shite stirring Pat Forde. He wrote, on 3/22/24 on his X feed….

“Hearing some buzz about a big Washington Post story in the works on LSU women's hoops coach Kim Mulkey, potentially next week. Wagons being circled, etc.”

Someone posted that here on TD & the discussion here called it a hit piece.

Although the a-hole Forde didn’t say anything more egregious than what was copied above, the comments on twitter were vile and disgusting. They painted her as having an affair with players, homophobic, etc. Typical baseless hatred spewed by Twitter these days.

It was after that shite stirring post, that Kim had her press conference to get in front of the story.

Forde, of course shared the article yesterday on his Twitter feed. Shocking. His hatred of Kim, LSU and the SEC is obvious. What a piece of shite he is. (Is that how you do it, Pat?)

I mean, the LA Times edited and *updated* their article because of Mulkey challenging it, so …

I dont know that they were afraid, but the wapo article did include statements from players that helped counter the narrative mulkey is anti gay. The statements were attributed to dealings with Mulkeys lawyers. Safe to say they weren't there because wapo believes in fairness.

I definitely think the writer started this article with a different story in mind and when he couldn’t get what he looking for pivoted to something else.

The timing of the article told me all I needed to know. Also, the rush for comment from Mulkey just prior to a planned publish date. The guy supposedly worked on it for 2 years and he doesn't ask for comment from Mulkey until hours before an NCAA tourney game? Give me a break. It backfired...masterclass from Mulkey.

And I doubt the public will ever know if anything was redacted or not.
