It took 3 years for the coaching staff to find the position for him to be a force at and man is he living up to his 5 star status. He started to ball out late last season but we are about to see a complete football player this season. His speed and open field tackling is impressive and he will have a monster year. Aranda is using him all over the field and he has the skills to be dominant on defense this year. Excited to see him play this year.

I’d say more like a year and a half.

Saturday night, at times, it looked like he was racing Delpit to see who could make the tackle first. Loved it

Kid is an animal. I know it probably isn't feasible, but could you imagine getting all the following on the field at once:

Clark
Stevens
Chaisson
Divinity
Queen
Phillips

Maybe go to 2 down linemen?

I would say thats not very feasible but those Gentlemen with Fulton, Stingley and Delpit on the back end...

I remember some calling him a bust after only spending one year in the program. Somewhat similar to Shelvin (another 5 star).

Some take longer than others to acclimate to the college game and find their spot / role.

What is he exactly playing this year?

I saw majority of the first half atleast, he was playing opposite of Chassion, in the other OLB spot. He's super versatile tho, so Id assume he will probably be used everywhere.

His acceleration off a block is unreal.

The coaching staff told him he's playing a hybrid safety. In reality he's playing OLB. Some run responsibilities, some coverage responsibilities, and occasionally rushing or spying the QB on passing downs. Kinda like a bigger Jabril Peppers or a less disruptive Honey Badger.

He patiently waited his turn. Now delivering big time.

it'll be interesting to see how we use him saturday with texas running a spread. GASU didn't really line up 3 wide so he was able to feast and actually that's why vincent didn't play as much.

With pass happy texas I'm sure we'll see much more of vincent at nickel saturday but that's why Dave gets paid 2.5 million

Texas still wants to run.

If we run a base 3-4 at anypoint he will be out FOLB (whether we call him a safety or not)

In my mind he is the prototype for a new age OLB

he can pass rush, come up and make a tackle, chase down speedier players and drop into coverage.

Whether we call him a box safety or BOLB i see him playing a lot

if texas goes 4 wide we won't be in a 3-4
