We play the toughest schedule in the history of college football
If our boys manage to finish the season at all, it will be a major win for Coach O.

15-11 SEC record in his last 4 seasons along with his pitiful anemic offense that he kept saying he'd change & fix but never did is what got him fired.
please list all other 13 SEC schools conference record over this same time period TIA.
(spoiler: theres only 2 teams with a better record)

LSU has no leadership to drive a change with AD or HC. And by no leadership, I mean President, BOS, or boosters. Lastly, the fans seem ok with whatever results Yaw Yaw delivers. “He’s one of us.”
I've always said that with our current LSU president and Governor in place, I doubt we'd be able to get someone a lot better than Alleva.
As for the fans being happy with whatever W-L record Ed has, I haven't seen this on here. Show me where the majority of the O fans would be happy with a 6 or 7 win season, because “He’s one of us.” That's a very ignorant thing to say.

It is just a false narrative made to support their agenda.

So if you are okay with that 15-11 record, you should love O's 6-2 record as perm head coach, or 10-4 including both temp and perm.

So, since 2011 you were ok with 1 2nd place west finish, 2 3rd place finishes and a 4th place, and obviously no SECCG appearances and no major bowl games?

where did I say I was ok with it? I simply pointed out it was the 3rd best record over the period of time.

thats 1 season, where the 6 wins came againts teams with a combined 18-30 conference record. how are you going to compare one season to 4 seasons?
and conference record fails to take into account this record: 35-0. That was LSU's record vs Sunbelt teams prior to the 2017 season.

no I was not ok with it. go check my post history. there is no love lost between me and Les. but I am not going to ignore facts. the fact is that thinking LSU was "saved" from some "crisis" by replacing its most successful coach with Ole Miss' worst coach is lunacy, straight up.

You misapprehend. I was in no way endorsing Miles. He should have been fired in 2015. But that does not mean someone even worse should have been hired to replace him.

I'm very skeptical of Ed having the job as well. He's already had a major screw up with a coaching hire, he had 2 bad losses along with the bowl game last season, he's spoken from both sides of his mouth on numerous occasions, and crushing a red bull on his head makes me think he maybe hasn't learned anything from his Ole Miss days.
With that said, I always despised Les Miles being our HC and I'll give O this season before I vilify him. We seemingly have a talented team on both sides of the ball. Maybe we'll do well, I hope so.

So let me get this straight... you always despised Les despite his first three seasons resulting in an SECW crown, a blowout Sugar Bowl win and a National Title but you’re willing to give O two full seasons and an interim stint before “vilifying” him?
What part of Lafourche are you from cher?

This is the coldest fricking take. How much does he get paid to write this? Probably copy and pasted opinions from every major "college football expert"
This team is a 9-3 team. 8-4 would be disappointing, 10-2 would be really good.

Sort of like the schedule is too tough narrative.
Interesting.

Les was incredibly lucky his 1st few years, and as I've said before, I'll take that luck...I was very happy for the team and the success, but never liked Miles.
I'm from BR, but that was a very astute and clever assumption.

I honestly don't even bother reading stuff like this, and quite frankly bored of the preseason "prediction" talk. Nobody knows jackshit about what which team looks like what in August. Who had Auburn winning the West last year?

You said you despised him as our coach from the beginning. In one breath you acknowledge that O has already fricked up several times in one year as a head coach but are willing to "give him a chance". Les on the other hand has 3 straight incredible years to start his career, but it was "luck" and you "despise" him. You're a joke.

Says no one when the team is highly ranked.

You are a pathetic homer.... zero reality at all.....

Honestly I see Miami as a swing game:
If we can game plan them and beat them, we can probably pull out wins against Florida, Miss State, and A&M and POSSIBLY Auburn (though we never win at Jordan Hare).
If we lose to Miami convincingly, I do see any way we beat miss state or Auburn. And those next tier of games, Florida, Arkansas, and A&M do not look good for us.
All I know for sure is that we are going to beat:
1. SELA
2. LA Tech
3. Ole Miss
4. Rice
Everything outside of those four will have to be earned collectively by the coaches, players, analysts, trains, etc.

Could just as well be 5-7 I guess.
Could very well be in deed.
Obviously, I would like us to have a better record; however, if I had to choose between 6-6 and 5-7, I would choose 5-7 b/c I know that would lead to both O and Alleva's immediate termination.
