Yeah, not at all.
When a witness/party to a legal matter lies on an official document or on a recorded matter, that lie goes straight to their credibility. Lowery already has what is considered a "credibility" criminal conviction - petty theft. These are things that the District Attorney will evaluate when deciding what charges, if any, to bring.

this is just the first shot by Fisher with more to come would not surprise me if her 'friend' does file assault charges on Lowery, and yes this does change a lot, if he is deemed unstable and has had a violent history with her well then it will be hard pressed for his lawyer to prove he was there just to play super hero.
