Do you feel as though Alabama is college football? I don’t.

The MCWS averaged fewer viewers than the Women’s College World Series earlier this month (1.3M), though the two-game MCWS Final outdrew the three-game WCWS Final (2.2M).

I think it might have to do with the WCWS being 2-3 weeks earlier. In late May early June, less people are out and on vacation, this time of year, vacations are in full swing. The state of Texas also draws big.

Screw them for a 1:30 pm start on Sunday.

We like to bitch, esp during the regionals and supers about tv start times, but it has grown the sport!

But yes, 1:30 on Sunday wasn't ideal, but had to get in before game 7 of NBA.

It was a david vs. goliath story line. Underdog vs. Perennial Power. I'm not surprised it broke the records.

Syracluse doesn't even have a baseball team. I would be very patient waiting for those ratings to grow.

They also don't comprehend that the FIRST FOUR in the men's NCAA basketball tournament drew 7.4 million viewers, and that's with half of that 8 team field being schools with MICROSCOPIC followings.

They were also broadcast on TruTV which most viewers can't find without a search warrant.

We need to get serious about men's basketball at LSU again. Most of ya'll don't remember how huge it is when we're winning. We got a small taste with Wade. All it would take is the right hire.

Agreed. Outside of the south, people don’t really follow college baseball super closely. More MLB folk. Women’s basketball however has boomed last couple of years, even just with people doing a women’s March madness bracket and throwing money is gonna bring in a huge amount of non-fans to watch.
