that tiger team was amazing, I'll never understand 2 things: 1. how bama was chosen over osu. and 2. how did we lay that egg vs bama.

I'll bite.
I remember Les saying "I'd be honored to play that team again". I'd forgotten that Mike Gundy said "Alabama lost to the #1 team in the country, we lost to Iowa State. In fairness, I don't see any way you can fairly put them ahead of us".
Those two statements heavily influenced the voters.

OSU lost. Bama and Lsu were the clear cut best two teams. That' was the ultimate goal from bcs. OSU gets n with a win most likely but even then Bama and Lsu were still the best. Sucks but it is what it is. Move on

Well if you're just going to use an eye test to declare the best team, then let's just crown Bama the champions every year Bc based on recruiting they're the best, and even when they do lose it's a close game and they still seem like the better team.
