This X 1000. Who the hell down votes a post by a player's parent?

Avery is an awesome athlete. We are lucky to have him!

Fixed it for you.

Thank you to your family for going against the grain and becoming a fan/player of one of your hometown's rivals and for giving us your son for hopefully 4 years.

I talked to your wife after the LSU-UGa game about how your son was at the bottom of the fumble recovery pile and about him coming to LSU vs. staying and playing for the "home team."

Excited to see Avery play next year and the next and the next.

Yes we are. I got the sense in the OP that they feel Avery is lucky to have found a home at LSU. But, I think it's completely the other way around.

, we had a pretty unique view into college football programs nationwide and how they are run. They are not all equal-----LSU is special! Not just for its history and traditions but for the way the coaches and support staff genuinely care for its athletes. We met a lot of coaches on our visits. LSU has some of the finest men in the country leading this program

Something's not adding up here. I have it on good authority here on this board that the coaches are bumbling clowns who can't tie their own shoes much less coach football.

He just wanted it more. Great effort. Rooted it right out of there.

No disrespect - he just reminded me of some desperate burrowing animal that just wanted the truffle more.
Yes, we all want to thank you for allowing Avery to be a Tiger and represent this team. His monster kickoffs have turned into field position so badly needed. The opponent cannot run back a kickoff when its caught by security on the endline.

Hey! #32s mom here!
Avery is done playing soccer I am pretty sure! He helped lead his high school to the class 7A state championship in May! He had an amazing “career” playing soccer. He was blessed to be on Varsity as an 8th grader. We enjoyed watching him play bc most soccer players don’t quite look like him (he was a tad bit bigger than most)

As for football he has been playing since the 2nd grade in many positions but soccer did help him with kicking! He started kicking in the 7th grade.

Dad,
You and your family have given us more than we have given to you.
Thanks you and yours.

Thank you Averys mom for the info on him! And thanks to dad for the best thing I've read in the 10 years I've been on this forum!

Looking forward to more years of Avery as a tiger!

God bless y'all!

You should be so proud of your son! His deep kickoffs were cherished and were a big part of our success this year. We are thankful he had great parents to steer him the righter way. Once a Bayou Bengal always a Bayou Bengal!

This is really great to see. I agree with other posters...Avery’s KOs are a well needed addition to our program.
Your family is obviously very special. Continued best wishes.

Field position changes the entire game when you can make somebody start at the 25. Thank goodness Avery is an LSU Tiger.

Love your son, his tenacity, his ability, and his football attitude. I'm delighted he decided to come to LSU to work his magic for us--we really needed it.

I found out something else about him tonight----------------He has GREAT parents!!!!
