Some people are too proud to admit when they are wrong. Some are just made wrong. And some are just stupid a...s that are lower than a pile of chiite on the side of a street. Bottom line if you are wrong you are wrong. I was about O and proud to admit it and very grateful that he proved himself.

I have none of those in my name.

I may have been wrong as well. But the only credit I can give o is his ability to lose his ego, take less money, and hire great assistants.

I think if LSU wins it all, Orgeron puts "pressure" on several coaches. UT, for sure. A&M probablby. At some point, those guys have to produce WINS, not the just the prospect of winning.
Being in Tampa, UF rules. Speaking to friends who are huge UF guys, they say, "it took Orgeron three years, Mullen will get it done". Ok, great. He's been there two years. They lose to UGA next year, he's going to start feeling it.
CEO was very open and public about his "failure" to beat Bama. Needed better trench players, needed better offensive coaches, needed better QB play. He had to get over that hump. He did.
Those other coaches, in some ways, are going to be measured against CEO, as mindboggling as they would have seemed three years ago.

I never wanted Herman,, but I did want jimbo. Still think jimbo could be successful here, but happy the way things turned out now

That's a legit take - we had an incompetent AD who honestly picked a head coach probably no other AD in the country would have. By any measure it was a high risk gamble at best.
Woulda won a lot in Vegas betting the odds on this one for how it has gone to this point.
Geaux Tigers!

Pump the brakes there fella. Let’s see O bring home a championship of some sort before coronating him as great,

Yes, in fact, I boycotted TS until he was gone. Was very glad when he was gone and thankful he has not been back.

I was on the Jimbo train and glad it was derailed. I also was praying we would go after Dan Mullen. I’m glad things worked as they have. I didn’t want coach O, I was very disappointed in the hire. I eat crow and it taste good. Geaux Coach O.

This state is running out of crow. How could all these fans be so wrong?

Because we gotta shite-ton of armchair QBs in the state who think they know shite but really don't.

Yea for me it was Jimbo.
Coach O has proven me and a lot of others very wrong.

Agree, T Herman is much better fit at UT, soo glad Texas won the bidding war or Lsu would not have this awesome offense. Don't know of any other coach that would have hired Joe Brady, kudos to Coach O.

Your wrong, even if he doesn't win the natty he's accomplished more than Herman or Jimbo could even dream of achieving. Beating Ohio State or Clemson not easy pickings. U.Myer, Saban, Jimbo,K Smart would have only a 50% chance of beating those teams just like Coach O has.

quote:I agree with this, but for me it was Jimbo. Just think...with Coach O we got most likely our first Heisman trophy winner in 50 years since Billy Cannon, and Joe Brady (because of his relationship with Sean Payton). Like puzzles fitting into place, almost like it was meant to be.
Thank God we didn't get the coach I wanted

Being he loves to kiss his players on the mouth, maybe he should have gone to the A&M Gaggies!

What does "the only credit" supposed to mean? Coach O is the head coach and he is ultimately responsible for the product on the field. Getting good players and and good coaches is what the job is all about. He deserves a shite ton of credit for what he's doing.
