I went to one of the LSU games in Austin earlier this year with a UT buddy of mine and was ruthlessly mocked by the UT fans around me when I was insistent that Texas’ season would end well before LSU’s did, even as LSU was getting blown out. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine UT would miss the postseason altogether, but that’s where they find themselves at 24-21 overall and 5-12 in Big 12 play.

frick Texas

ETA: Texas lost games 1 and 2 to Kansas this weekend. They will not be playing postseason baseball.

Texass fans definitely still have piss-stained undies after what we did to them in 2009 but yeahh, I wouldn’t even be talking about a team that swept us, regardless of their current record.

I just think you’re an idiot. The fact that I don’t have your approval means the world to me. I would never want to identify with you in anyway. Now piss off kid.

You are totally in the right. LSU baseball should never lose any game at any time to any opponent or all of the tee ball legends like you get all pissy. We can't have that can we?

The 2000 NC team was swept by an average Houston team in BR

The 2009 NC team lost 2/3 to a horrible Illinois team.

Early season series don’t mean much

I’m sorry that your brain isn’t capable of allowing for the possibility that sometimes the better team loses.

their coach did well at Tulane, but he did not recruit much, especially pitchers. it should be about ten times easier to recruit at UT than it was at Tulane, but I am wondering if that is his problem there too. i am wondering what is career record is against LSU. i think he might have gone 4-0 against LSU while at Tulane

In fact, the 2000 team started 5-6. Should have fired Skip.

Last time LSU missed the post season we hosted Cal State Fullerton, who ended up a national seed, and swept them. Baseball is a weird game.

When I was at the Saturday game and watched that series they looked like one of those teams drastically aided by their all turf field. Short stops didn’t have to guess much as the balls would stay true to their lines, and I can’t tell you how many usual doubles would be singles because how fast the ball would get to the outfielders. There was even a play in game three were Josh smith missed the bag on an easy out at second trying to turn a double. We just looked like we didn’t know how to play on that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Big 12 teams just know the field more familiarly and that’s removing an obvious advantage. Not to mention in a vaccuum I don’t think we’d play that bad 2/3 tries. We just were bad, and Texas was playing with a vengeance for 2009.

Tee Ball legends, like it. They Played tee ball and now know more than the coaches.
