Arkansas averaging 9+ runs per game in SEC play is insane

Especially considering the last few years where arky was carried by pitching and now they are hitting but still lost 3 straight series

This weekend at College Station will determine IF A&M gets into the NCAA

I'm pretty sure they're getting a bid. Win the series, and A&M will be in the hunt for a regional.

that would be best for LSU

No, sir. What would be best for LSU is for LSU to just win, baby.

Have been saying this all season....Texass can't win on the ROAD.They have been hiding in Austin all season. Our Tigers had em for the series win then just blew it.(This was also BEFORE they lost 2 key starters)

Texass may loose all 3 final ROAD series. Horns DOWN

Texas swept and an LSU sweep and we're only 2 games out of 1st place.

Both of those were/are extremely unlikely. Arkansas getting swept at Baum-Walker and us sweeping A&M at Blue Bell. Especially considering how huge these games are to the home teams.

But more importantly, who cares if we would have only 2 games out of 1st with only 2 weekends to go and Texas holding the tie-breaker over us? Not much chance of us catching them. And it sucks, but does anybody really care about the regular season SEC Championship now besides the teams? (Who absolutely should, it’s an incredible accomplishment making it through that gauntlet). But the schedules are just different now with all the expansion.

My point is basically if we do, in fact, sweep A&M, the wins would be WAY more important in and of themselves, than getting us closer to Texas. There’s a huge group of teams all clustered together after Texas. More important for us to separate from that pack than for Texas to come back down it.

Well, they are overrated if you look at Vegas odds rather than polls. Texas has the 5th best odds of winning the CWS behind LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Not as a one seed but two seeds have hosted before, and if the NCAA is giving one out to a two seed this year, it will be to A&M.

Not saying it will happen, but I am not ruling out the possibility.

There hasn’t been a 2 seed that has hosted in years. That’s really doesn’t happen anymore.

It's not common, but it happened as recently as 2021.

Old Dominion was a number 1 seed, and South Carolina hosted the regional as a number 2.

Now, in fairness, that was due to OD's facilities not being up to standard. When the 16 seeds are announced, we'll have to see if a school on that list, for whatever reason, can't host.

None of the schools being considered for regionals have any issues like that. And also, there would be several other teams (a few in the SEC to start) that would get consideration before A&M.

You can go ahead and rule it out. Everybody even close to being considered can actually host.

LSU Wins 2 of 3 if Zac Cowan is used game 2 instead of wasting him Game 1

Texas toughest SEC Road Series was Kentucky. Now we get to really see.

+ ' Horns also lost stud RFer Mav Belyeu...he was a difference maker vs LSU

Texas can be swept by Arkansas and still hold top spot in SEC. Would drop nationally, though. If LSU sweeps A&M they may move to #1 nationally but still would be behind Texas in SEC. Weird scenario.
