From the souvenir cups, to Jimbo’s office painting, to A&M classrooms, it’s amusing how LSU has lived rent-free in Aggie heads. Little man syndrome at its finest.

Jimbo Fisher, Tom Hart, and Jordan Rodgers in one picture. It would be tough to find a picture with 3 less likable people in it.

I hate that we got screwed out of that game by officials and gave A&M their only big win against us. They literally are the worst fan base in the nation. I used to think Bama was my most hated team but I’m starting to have A&M right beside them just off of pure idiocy they display

I would love this post if you didn't use the old "rent free" saying. It's too played out.

For pretty much the entirety of their history A&M had a hated rival in Texas. Then, A&M got mad at Texas controlling the Big 12, so they moved to the SEC. One of the impacts of that was A&M lost its hated rival. So they, with the help of the SEC offices, tried to create a rivalry with LSU. Now, to be fair, LSU and A&M had a LONG history predating A&M's entry into the conference. If you grew up watching LSU football in the 80's and early 90's you knew A&M was as notable a "rival" for LSU as much as anyone not named Ole Miss in the SEC. However, by 2012, LSU fans looked at Alabama, Florida, Auburn (at least) as FAR bigger rivals. So A&M, needing someone to fill Texas's void, tried to pick a fight with an LSU program who was much more concerned with others in the SEC.

The good (or bad) news, depending upon your perspective, is that with the 74-72 game, and the recruiting battles that have developed since, A&M and LSU have returned to having mutual animosity towards one another. I, for one, like it because animosity makes competition more entertaining. The question going forward is does that remain with Texas now coming back into A&M's life?

It has actually been a competitive rivalry on both sides.

Really pisses then off that they have all the money and are from Texas (which they think makes them special), and yet are still our sons

"Rent free" is living rent free in your head. And the phrase "played out" is played out.

To be honest, several other coaches/schools have commemorated victories over LSU with paintings/photos like Miami, OH, Auburn when Tuberville was there, UAB in 2000 and a few more.
