You’d have to be a moron to pitch a righty against Berry. It’s worth bringing in a lefty for the one batter because he is garbage from the right side of the plate. There is no way he’s better against lefties from the right side rather than just batting lefty.

I've heard multiple times that he hit about the same from both sides last year. What changed? You'd think if it was just something scouted and exploited it would have at least shown up by the back half of the season.
