Turn the golf course into a mixed use area with stadiums, hotels, and restaurants. Turn Tigerland into a completely new district being right next to it. With WBB and Baseball winning championships, LSU could really change the landscape of campus.

It’s too perfect and will never happen unfortunately.

Ain't happening nor does it need to. Improvements, yes.

Donate the tons of money to get it done, and I'm sure they would consider it.

No. Update sure. Brand new? You lost your head.

I agree a new one is needed, but moving it off campus would be a bad move in my opinion. Tear down the PMac if they want, and rebuild in that spot.

It doesn’t but strike while the iron is hot. Fundraising isn’t as hard when you’re reigning national champions

I can confirm that the LSU golf course will be torn down in a few years.

What is being built on it remains to be seen. It's either going to be a parking lot or a new facility. The tentative idea now is to eliminate the track and swimming facilities to build for basketball and likely move those to where the golf course currently sits.

A parking lot would be so dumb but so on par with LSU decisions

Where does the new golf course go?

Tear down all the dilapidated houses north of campus. It’d be nice. None of this will ever happen.

So, how many tens of thousands of dollars are you planning on pledging towards the new facilities??

The issue of building a new arena would be how they are going to connect it to the current practice facility. It may not seem like a lot but a new practice facility would range between 30-50 million.

Despite the constant complaints of "New" Alex Box...

The skeleton is nice. Just needs to be cleaned up. It was clear we went for the "high quality Chinese Rolex" look.

Football does not have a connected practice facility and they make it work

You’re right on point! However, I feel like we lose context. As far as college baseball stadiums go….it’s pretty freakin awesome. We are a spoiled bunch. Myself included. I think sone minor improvements like extended overhang down the lines, chair backs throughout, improved concessions…and it’s top notch.

We want good things for basketball and a new arena is long overdue. Not a renovation, but a new arena. The athletic program that we are demands that.

Another big issue is Tiger park. There has to be another way. Too many donors empty seats and no seats for the fans that are there.

Most golf teams are setting up facilities at a host course. AZ is partnering with Tucson CC and building their facilities there. AZ State has done the same thing. Land is too valuable and it is very easy to partner with existing facility, build some team infrastructure for training and have your 18 or so golfers play there. It frees up a ton of land for University growth and development.

The golf team plays at UClub, not the LSU course.

How much do you think this would cost?

The current Alex Box is already outside of the “campus”. Move it further away & I assume demolish the PMAC & current Alex Box and this actually has a negative impact to “campus”.

Tear down PMAC, play at River Center for a year or two while building PMAC 2.0
