We are seeing the best team that could possibly play with the players that it has. Bottom line the defense is overachieving This is the same defense that was historically bad last year. Baker has done a great job with them he is a very good coach I don't understand the shite posting on him he don't have a lot to deal with he is making the best out of dog shite basically.

The offense is hindered by the offensive coordinator Yes he may be able to develop a quarterback but he is absolutely fricking terrible at calling plays and that's a fact. Basically this team just does not have the players to compete for a title, and to win big games consistently. They may be able to show up beat Ole Miss, but they have no answers for Alabama who they have two weeks to plan for. That's a player's issue but that is also the coach's fault because he recruited these players. So what you have is mediocrity once again. Maybe we'll get it right one day

They also have no answers for season opening games (0-3) after having 7 months to prepare, not to mention they open at Clemson next year.

While I do agree with you the talent on defense is that of a 5-5 team, these teams we are losing to are completely beatable and we are losing to our own doing.

This team just don't have the players man That's all it is but that's Kelly's fault we have some good players we have some very good players. I'm not saying they're all dog shite but they're also overall overachieving. The SEC is shite this year also and it's also been a very weird year where normal shitty teams are competing with the Blue bloods of the SEC. But this may be the look going forward with NIL

This defense can't stop a snail on Quaaludes. Worse second half of Aggie game and all of Bama game than House or Pelini. What have you been smokin'?

I don’t get this analysis. Every aspect of this team is sub par? But we’re overachieving? And it is the head coaches fault?

Is it a fault to raise expectations? In what manner would overachievement take place then?

What's holding us back is Nussmeyer. Everything we were worried about coming into the season (him not protecting the ball and just slinging in everywhere) are now coming out. He makes terrible reads. At least twice Saturday night he threw in double or triple coverage when there was a guy wide open. He is forcing things and that will work sometimes but you are eventually going to turn the ball over.

42-6 real score to Bama at home is overachieving? Man, we have very different definitions of overachieving.

so 3 losses is overachieving? Maybe for Mississippi State, Vandy or South Carolina, but not LSU.

Secondly, CBK told us to judge him on year 3, based on year 3 I'm not impressed.

The problem is that we should be fielding nothing but elite, 4-5 star players like an Alabama or Texas. Instead, we have sub-par players at almost every position. That’s the fault of whoever is evaluating talent in recruiting and portal analysis. Starts with the head coach. Bama players looked like men versus boys out there Saturday night.

You can take your local horse track champion and run him in the Triple Crown and have him run career best times and still get his arse beat by 20 links… is that any clearer.

For some reason there is this perception in a lot of posters here that this team is championship caliber talent and hence that is the expectations.

Didn`t anybody notice how slow our defense was. Now I know yall blame
BK for that considering he has had 2 and a half years to recruit that should
more than enough time to build a championship roster. He needed to get
those freshmen and sophs starters to play like more experienced players.
BK has failed us ,we should have hired Lincoln Riley or Billy Napier or
maybe Lane, crybaby, kiffen who lost to crappy BK 2 out of three times. BK
should have us in the championship playoffs by now 2 and a half seasons is
way to much time to fail.

Should have kept the strength coach they let go of, we seem to have way too many injuries in practice.

That's right they are overachieving because somehow they are 6-3 when it should be worse.

At least Napier would have been easier to fire

When kids on Vandy can scheme and execute well enough to beat them, we have zero excuse to blame talent disparity as the reason we got our asses kicked.

I used to think that and well the results speak for themselves.
