You'll take Katz over Dean? That's a good one.

Laugh it up. Katz is def a better all around player. He has a good arm, solid outfielder and solid hitter. Dean was at best average in the field.

So, is Rhymes cooling off or did Vandy just know how to pitch him?

We heard you the first time.

Rhymes hit over .500 the entire year...I believe it's comical to think he wasn't going to have an off weekend once.

Dean moved in 1st in 2010 and was solid.

Katz isn't that great of an outfielder. He's average at best.

Also this thread is about hitting.

You keep your better fielder, and I'll keep the hitting machine.

Dean was one of the all time greats. Funny how quickly people forget.

These threads following a loss are pathetic

Aint that the truth.

I just thank god I don't hang out with some any of these rantards IRL. I'd have lost it a long time ago.

Katz is pretty comparable hitter to Dean at this point.

Why everytime we lose a series must there be issues. The team had a bad weekend. Remember after auburn the doom and gloom with arky and Florida coming up. Well that turned out fine.....every team has its leaders and I feel pretty confident having katz, nola, or rhymes up in the clutch.

It's amazing isn't it.

I can see that, but I still think I would take Dean over Katz if this was playground baseball where I got to pick.

Actually Katz had more doubles last year than dean had in any single season. Also Katz already has 14 doubles this year. I understand HRs are not the same but they were playing with different bats.

Nor do they have an Ochinko, Schimpf or Lemahiue. 2009 was an all-star team.

we don't have them and...you go with who ya got..

and we've locked up the west, we're still ranked in the top 10, we're 1 win away from 40, won 6 of 9 sec series so far.

but apparently we suck and should just give up.

If you take the stats of both guys they're almost identical. They hit the same amount of triples per year, Katz averages 1 double more, whereas Dean obviously averages 7 more HR's, and both average 35 SO a year. So saying that we don't have a Dean on the team isn't really true.

I still stand by my orginal saying that I would take Dean over Katz just because of the little power upgrade. That being said...I wouldn't turn either down.
