Only here could a guy "dropping" to 478 make people start questioning his hitting.

The only spot I could see him taking was Helenihi's spot

Yeah I know, that's why I was asking.
Didn't Dean DH most of that year? I don't think Katz would've took that spot.

Oh and I wouldn't say Katz is a below average fielder.

yeah he did. what position changes did the nola / DJ move lead to? can't recall.

quote:Yeah. he did. With Mitchell in CF I think Landry would've taken a bench and Dean been put in the OF and Katz at DH. Mitchell's speed would've probably allowed that switch.

Hmmm.....now you got me trying to use my brain.
Nola was on the bench as a freshman so he moved DJ to second and put Nola at SS. Maybe Schimpf was on second and went to right field......shite I can't remember.

Or Ochinko staying at Catcher full time and Dean staying at 1st could've been a possibility.

shite I give up
I just know that a .350 hitter usually finds a spot in a lineup.

I think Katz would have played third that year.

I doubt it, Helenihi had a great glove at 3rd.
