Fournette and Guice

The 1 & 2 greatest running backs to come through LSU.

Loved watching Kevin and Cecil. Faulk was the most important recruit to ever come to LSU. Domino effect. Still, give me LF7 all game with Guice coming in as relief.

don’t forget LaBrandon Toefield, Kendall Cleveland, Dominick Davis, and Rondell Mealy.

Plus, the 2003, 2007 & 2011 stables were STACKED.

Justin Vincent
Shyrone Cary
Alley Broussard
Joe Addai
Keiland Williams
Charles Scott
Jacob Hester
Richard Murphy
Alfred Blue
Kenny Hilliard
Michael Ford
Spencer Ware

This coming season might be the softest at running back since 1994?

Both are great running backs. Hill ran in a different era of course so it may look as if Hill were better. I bet if roles were reversed TDP would be as good or better with that O-Line that Hill had.

You act as if the “era” was like 30 years ago

Um, no. Jeremy Hill was an insanely good RB. Arguably underrated when you look at the streak of great running RBs after him. TDP struggled the majority of his career and was inconsistent. Not even close sorry to say.

I'm still surprised Hill didn't tear the NFL up considering how good he was at LSU.

Yes, he does...minus the yards and the touchdowns.

TDP isn’t on the same level as Hill

I think Hill was a little better, but I think TDP will show that he’s better than Tiger fans are generally crediting him.

I think TDP couldve been just as good or better if he had an offensive line half as good as the ones Hill had

TDP was a less athletically gifted Leonard Fournette. Strong backs with good power and straight line speed, but limited vision. If the play worked as designed and the hole opened up in front of TDP he was a solid back. If not, he didn't have the vision to find the cutback lanes.

Hill, on the other hand, did. Hill was a strong back with good speed. But what set him apart was his ability to find the cutback lanes. Once he did and was in the clear there weren't many defenders would could run him down from behind. IMO, Hill is one of the 5 best RBs to play at LSU over the last 25 years or so...and there have been some really good ones.

shite my bad,I got the wrong dude.forgive me,I meant John Emery jr.

Suggestion: edit the thread title and first post.

And neither TDP or Emery remind me much of Hill. Certain traits with each, but that's about it.

Hill and Alley (pre-injury) feel somewhat comparable. Big backs that are hard to bring down with big play ability.

But when TDP got some space he definitely looked a lot like Hill.

The only difference was kind of a big one though. One always got ran down, and the other one didn’t

If you'd meant TDP that would have been ok. Pretty much everyone knows who that is. And if they don't, they're not really LSU fans and it's no matter.
