LSU vs Ohio St '87- loudest day game ever

I have said this for years..

Pregame when Ohio State refused to take the field first was the loudest ever.

Loudest game ever isn't gonna be from a time when an entire upper deck was missing.

I always thought Bama at LSU 2008 was the loudest time in tiger stadium when we blocked their field goal to send to OT.

I didn't start going to games to games 'til a few years ago but vs Arkansas '11 was the loudest day game I've been to.

Was at that game and yes it was loud and it was hot. My buddy broke out a doobie rolled in Tiger paper and we were sitting about 3 rows up in the South end zone. Oh the good ole days. I have not been to many football games but the ones I have went to were very memorable. This game. The Saints/Jets game with Turly tore off the Jets helmet and the Saints first play off win.

Was there it was a good game between 2 good teams and very loud for day game, not quite the 03 UGA but close. CLM would have won this one running the ball instead the pass at the end . Seemed like even the day games were just more fun back then since not the expensive outing is today with big TAF fees and such.
Oddly the following week vs UF Gallan Hall coached team they barely missed FG at the buzzer that we won 13-10 or would have been back to back 13-13 ties!
Yes, recall the filming that movie throughout the season was fun too!

I was in the stadium and IMO, upsetting #1 UF and 2003 UGA were crazier.

I was there in 87. I don't remember it as loud. Bama 2012 was crazy loud.

Georgia '03 rivaled many night games for loudness.
It was more susstained than tOSU '87, though it was pretty loud also.

Ironically, my first ever game in DV as a kid was the Oct. 25 1969 day game between LSU and Auburn.

Was coming to post this. Right up there with UGA 03 imo.

2010 Bama was up there as well and was probably louder overall, but that one moment of the blocked kick was outrageous.

I remember sitting in the South endzone for this game. Earl Bruce would not let his team take the field until after the Tigers came out, which fired up the crowd. It was a loud game that the Tigers should have won except for a blown coverage of the tight end for a touchdown, sound familiar, and the interception near the end.

I remember the Ohio State players were shocked at how many tiger fans they had to walk through when they got off the bus, my buddy and an Ohio State fan locked up, didn't think we were going to make into the stadium, great game, the end sucked.
