Didn't they just franchise tag Higgins? Not sure why they would do that and then go pony up for Jefferson

should get as much money as he can because they aren’t going to invest in his protection.

Didn’t they already do that, and it just didn’t pan out?

Also, to be fair, Burrow has been injured a lot, the last one had nothing to do with the OL. The appendix issue also didn’t.

It might be a pipe dream but I would personally love for it to happen.

Bengals haven’t done crap to help Burrow win a SB

wut? They took Higgins at the top of the 2nd after drafting Burrow, took Chase top 5 a year later. They have brought in free agents on the OL and D to bolster the team

This would be huge. I’m sure the powers that be are doing what they can to prevent this from happening.

With them about to pay Chase there is no way they can afford to WR1s and Burrow.

Don't know if they would but couldn't Joe and Chase re-structure their contracts to take some money later (with interest)? Not lose any overall, just delay.

Absolutely won’t happen. Off the top of my head that would be roughly 50% against the cap for three players.

Chase is still on his rookie contract as is Jefferson both will need a new bigger contract so no it’s not really feasible

They started with nearly 70 million.

They are down to about 45 million.

If they move Higgins (which they would if they were getting JJ), that will add another $21.8M to their cap. But as others pointed out the issue would then come into play once Burrow's big money hits and when Chase needs his new deal.

The Bengals are having a hard enough time deciding what to do with their current crop of receivers. As cheap as the Bengals are, I don’t see them spending a ton on two of the best receivers in the league along with Joe Burrow’s massive contract. Their OLine is already horrendous and that leaves nothing for them to upgrade that position. Oline there needs to be top priority, otherwise Burrow will have a very short career.
