Take yourself back to the moment of the final out last Sunday after the epic collapse.

If someone were to tell you then that we would win the series on the first two games, with a close chance at a sweep on Sunday, I think we all would have taken that. I get we have areas of concern, but every team in the nation does at this point in the season. It’s a crap shoot in the post season and we have a good of a shot as anyone. Let’s see how it plays out.

Playing clean baseball is the key for this team.

It’s the key for every team.
We played two pretty clean games this weekend.

You just never know what team we are going to be.

Turns out that was the moment we lost a SEC championship.

Thompson is fielding .915 in SEC play (.942 overall). That is FAR better than last season but he is trending in the wrong direction and today could have been another error.
White shocked me at .833. I guess he has had minimal opportunities. Wow.

I think what bothers most of it is the fact EVERYONE(kinda yellin) including pitchers should have been ready today.
I don’t want to hear it’s baseball BS.
These guys had knowledge knowing there was a season championship on the line and laid an egg.
Kinda makes you think what kinda Heart this team has and if they have what it takes to go after the main goal is all.

You’re right they don’t care at all.

This is the bullshite that pisses me off the most.

Yeah, they don't want to win. They don't cheer and have each other's back.

You got their back, right?

Ridiculous.

I never said they didn't care.
Just have to get something going and stay hot at the plate to avoid the inevitable pitching issues past Skenes and Floyd.

What was your point?

I always chuckle at people who point out intangible reasons for losing (don’t care, not trying, no heart, etc) while ignoring the tangible ones (horrendous bullpen ERA, etc)

I'm not following your train of thought here. Because we had an epic collapse against a bad team, I should be surprised that we had a chance to sweep a different bad team, but didn't? They blew two games last week, but came into the day with still a chance to win the SEC, got the help they needed, but didn't finish the deal against a bad team.

That's what I got out of this outcome. Moving forward, there is talent on this team to go all the way, but as we are seeing, you have to actually play well or you can lose to anyone. We stumbled down the stretch, and this was the soft part of the schedule. We aren't going to see many teams with staff ERA's above 6, like it seems like we have for a month straight, in the postseason. Pitching and fielding have to improve greatly.
