T. He'll run in the high 4.4s (something like 4.48). People act like he was Jarvis Landry or something.

Not to hijack the thread, but I think Chaisson should also run in the 4.4s. I was just watching the SEC Championship game again and he looks like he's shot out of a cannon on every play.

Regardless.. he’d look great in black n’ gold and compliment Mike Thomas.

If he runs sub 4.5, I'll be shocked. I'd also be shocked if he's above 4.6. He's right between the two.

What will separate him from the pack are his route running and change of direction. He's top of the pack in those two.

He’s agile. Not fast.

False. Like Mayock would say. "He's more quick than fast". And that's okay.

Jefferson is gonna make a good nfl player because he's smart, can read coverages, pick up offenses and has really good short area moves.

I think his future is in the slot, but he's big enough to line up outside.

If he does this he will probably go top 10. A 6'4 250 lb guy running a 4.4x is a specimen created in heaven (or hell if he is on the opposing team).

He wasn't caught from behind all year, and ran away from pretty much every DB. The only exception is that Heisman reel moment from Burrow on that 70 yd pass, where I think Jefferson was tired by the end. Otherwise, I don't see the evidence that he isn't "fast." It might not translate to a 40 time, certainly, but his ability to get separation is entirely underrated.

His older brother was a 4.5 - 4.6 guy not hard to believe he could be a sub 4.5 guy.

I think he'll be a 4.48-4.55 guy which would probably elevate his stock.

I can see right around a 4.5, but I think he has better game speed than just straight line speed

This is true. LSU Pro day times are always faster than Indy due to conditions. I DO think JJ surprises and runs in the 4.5 range or better. It all depends on his start. Indy is strict on the start, starter guy at the combine will hold you in stance, Pro days much more lenient.

As long as the second number is a .5, he will be ok. Lots of intangibles that tape reinforces. Good luck to him.
