1.125 million per year through 2024

If let go after this year, the buyout is $4,500,000.

39 wins in 2018 and 40 wins last year after playing for national title in 2017.

If we are in the 43 wins or less area again this season, the heat is blistering next season. 46+ wins either this season or on 2021, or coach is likely gone.

Pitching will carry us this year & next. we loose only one position player & maybe not him , as of now he is not playing like a first rounder.
next year we will be dynamite!

It's false. LSU's pitching is too good not to be able to win enough games to be able to keep him. As frustrating as it is to say, I think Mainieri's time is up. Not because he's a terrible coach, but because the program has gone stale. As much as I like Mainieri, I like LSU more.

We’re for sure losing Cabrera. It’s not about the round you get drafted in. It’s about leverage.

We’ll lose Garza and Henry as well.

False. We’ll be really dangerous by year’s end. Bats will come around.

Why is it delusional to think this though? Do you not think the pitching can give LSU a chance to win every single game? If the bats come alive, which I don't think is out of the realm of possibility, then the sky is the limit. Now maybe you think the bats never get much better, and that's maybe fair, but to say delusional is a bit much.

False because no matter how much the buyout would be, Paul hasn’t done anything that would get him fired. He has been a successful coach and has won a lot of baseball games. He may be here until his contract runs out unfortunately

What is his contract situation?

If I’m being honest this feels a lot like Miles. It’s starting to just be time to move on. Does anyone think he’s bringing more to LSU than LSU is bringing to the table?

Well, except for the fact that he's gotten complacent at his job in hiring the right assistants and appears to be Cadillacing his way into retirement with a half hearted effort at coaching, I guess you're right...

I'd say FALSE for now.

If our young players get up to SEC speed we'll be a good team. And if not, I think CPM will replace Smith with a splash hire batting coach that will buy him another year.
