I think he could talent wise but I don’t think he will.
With the amount of innings he’s throwing this season, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Nats (assuming he goes 1.2) limit his appearances until next year.

No, only because the innings/pitches he has thrown this season will have him on a managed program this season.
I could see him start 2024 in AA with a call up to MLB prior to the AS break.

He’d have to fall to 4 in the draft

Correct. He will have too many miles on him this calendar year.
He will throw 50 innings or so in July / Aug and they will shut him down until spring.

whippersnappers on here get unreal with their enamor, big leagues are looking at prospects like that through totally different(non-P&G,) glasses, they just hope the college coaches don't damage the merchandise before they can get their mitts on them

Crews will make an MLB roster before Skenes. Skenes will need a break after Omaha.

The only way that would happen is if the MLB team that drafts him makes it to the playoffs. Using an arm like that as an extra weapon would definitely come into play.

If the Pirates are in the playoffs yes.

Nats no need to rush him as they are already out of contention
Pirates would be another story being in first place but still doubtful

The Nats will 100% shut him down this year. This is the same organization that shut down their ace pitcher before the playoffs because he reached his innings limit.

He could pitch in MLB right now.
With that said, the Nats aren't going to risk that nor should they considering they are trash.
