Both things can be true that Moffitt may have ran his course at LSU and a change may have been needed but also the way it supposedly went down from what T-Bob said in the OP and what Hester/Flynn said this morning was messed up

I'm sick of hearing about Tommy Moffitt.
Wasn't he unemployed for 2 years after Kelly fired him?
Sounds like he needed time to reset and get that fire back after getting stale at LSU.

Has he been talking a lot in social media or something? I don’t feel like I’ve heard a peep from him.
He put Kelly's face on tackling dummy for A&M practice. He might not have personally told that story to microphones but he 100% did it so it would be talked about after the game.

No one had much of a problem with Moffitt's departure when Kelly came in.
False

I remember most of the Rant believed Moffitt washed up and wanted him gone

Moffitt sounds terribly entitled. And he's a fricking S&C leader, not a coordinator.
Lots of coaches and support staff lost their jobs when Kelly was hired.
That's what happens when a new CEO is hired - the new boss resets personnel to fit their vision and particulars.
And college football coaches are fired and hired all the time - look at the typical assistant coach's resume and you'll likely see a nomadic life moving from one job to another. Stability is a rarity.
If you're a grown up, you understand this reality and deal with it.
And from the stories about his departure (if they are accurate), it seems Moffitt's complaints should be directed toward Woodward, not Kelly. Woodward promised Moffitt job security, not Kelly.

Moffett had the team 365 days a year in 2020 and 2021 then you can't absolve him of some of the dysfunction of those two seasons
Well let’s not forget that Ryan Clark’s racist arse nuked the locker room during that time. Very well could have something to do with this. Most likely does

T-Bob story about the firing of Moffitt
T-bob also saying kelly played 400 rounds of golf a year when Hunt said his buddies have said Kelly only plays in the offseason and occasionally - don't trust that fricking drunk.

If T-Bob said it, there is 0% chance it is true.

It was a very sad day to see Moffitt leaving the LSU facility with his belongings in a bankers box and no fanfare.
If Woodward told Moffitt he was safe and then let BK fire him, that’s even worse.

Moffit mailed it in, just like BK

This is not the time for nostalgia.

Sooo many people here wanted him gone when Kelly came in. Revisionist history.

Yep. Only reason people care is because we got embarrassed.
Nah! I care because since he was fired we have not been able to push anyone off the line.
We couldn't run the ball vs Louisiana Tech.
We haven't been able to protect the QB all season.

So really you’re just mad because he skull fricked us two years in a row.

When Orgeron was let go, Saban called Moffitt and offered him the job to be Bama’s S&C coach. Moffitt told him no because Woodward guaranteed Moffitt he would keep his job through the coaching change. Kelly came in and immediately fired him.
IF true, why didn't he call Saban back and go there?

Im sure moffit decided, after the most successful season in LSU history, to drastically change his methods and go easy on the kids.
I think it was more of the myriad of circumstances that were going on at the time coupled with Ed mailing it in, but yea, there were alot of guys with hands on their hips during games.
In the end, Moffit couldn't make them want it if Ed didn't care, so he probably backed off. His fault? You would have to decide what you think.

Let’s put the Alabama pushing LSU around bc of Modfitt to bed
Les Miles held full contact /full pad practices through Thursday before a game. LSU was tired in the fourth quarter bc Les left the fourth quarter on the practice field. Same with soft tissue injuries. Bodies didn’t have down time to heal. No one practices that way today. Alabama didn’t practice that way back then. It was never a Moffit or S&C issue, it was always an over practice issue.
