The spontaneity of it was impressive. Just a brilliant rant and response.

Nice speech but saban has not been at Bama forever. I’m pretty sure Bama fans lived through plenty of “darkness” before Saban got there.

To act like only LSU has been thru ups and downs and it has always been sunny for Bama fans is just not accurate.

I wish I knew how to change the text from the “That’s my quarterback” TO gif to “That’s my O-lineman fricking spot on T-bob. That sentiment echoes what I’ve felt for years about Bama fans. The good Bama fans are GREAT people. But the smug, better than you, holier than thou segment of their fan base drives me up a goddamn wall. Like, we get it. You’re good. Have a cookie, bitch

I've found T-Bob to be a woke millennial geek. If you've listened to his politics, his video game commentary, his movie critiques, I mean the guy half the time is angling for a job on MSNBC.

So when I see a take like this, which is basically just class warfare but only with sports, it's ridiculous. "The evil rich", which is basically what he equates Alabama too. The evil USSR empire where the rich are never happy with their success.

You wouldn't see any conservative, competitive, ambitious LSU fan ever say losing is ok and "we're Paris. we're art. Our losing gives us character". frick that shite.

Every program should aspire to a point where losses are not acceptable. T-Bob can be happy with participation trophies. The standard should always be championship or failure. There's no in between.

Y’all claim you want politics out of sports but you just can’t help but bring everything to who someone votes for. Get off your high horse and stop judging people on their politics it’s fricking unamerican and useless.

The irony of using a football message board to communicate how football doesn’t mean as much to us as it does Bama after getting smoked ...just calling it like I see it...

THE BEST comeback I've EVER seen & heard. Said what I've felt. The Abe Lincoln of LSU. His slate is white as snow....AWESOME. And that was "on the fly" too! I have an entirely NEW perspective on T-Bob. Wow.

ETA: Also I bet if he had the same political opinions as the majority on this board and did the same exact thing he’d be held up as a paragon of sports journalism. Lets be real honest here. The vast majority of people don’t care about politics in sports. They care about politics different from their own in sports.

Regardless of the opinion of the listener, when you bring up your politics you automatically isolate nearly half of your listening base.

As 2020 has proven more than any other year, we turn to sports to escape our differences. Nothing good happens when those two worlds collide
