Syracuse may keep it close, but there is no way they will be able to match us physically and win a hard fought game in the trenches.

Huh. I'm seeing this as a way to show off Fournette to the Heisman voters in the Northeast.

I expect LSU to come prepared and for SU to realize pretty quickly that they are mismatched. Hope I'm right.

Look for SU to stack the box and take away LSU's stregnth

I like how he makes this sound like a strategy that only the evil geniuses at Syracuse could devise.

When your team is playing LSU, saying something like this is as oblivious as saying "Look for SU to keep LSU from scoring points" or "Look for SU to block well and complete passes on offense."

The loss marked the beginning of a dark period for LSU football. The Tigers recorded six consecutive losing seasons from 1989 through 1994, leading to the resignation of coach Mike Archer following the 1990 season and the dismissal of his successor, Curley Hallman, after four seasons. LSU did not return to a New Year's Day bowl game until 2001, by which time it had fired another coach, Gerry DiNardo.

I think if their QB plays they have a shot at keeping it closer than we would like early. They will not have the horses to keep up the whole game though. Best case scenario for them would probably be something like 35 to 17 if we get sloppy. I think 42 to 7 is probably closer to what it will be though. If they have to play a 4th string walk on at QB I don't know if they can score without us gifting it to them.

Playing Syracuse is just like playing Kentucky..

To be fair, road games at Kentucky are a bitch.

'99: L 31-5
'01: W 29-25
'02: W 33-30
'07: L 43-37

Something about playing in Lexington. It's creepy.

I'm just glad that Dungey isn't playing because they make him sound like Tom Brady mixed with Bill Braski.

It's a shame Dungey won't play. It's not every day you go up against a defense that has several draft picks

This is a perfect trap game for a Les Miles team to lay an egg. Not saying they will, but they have before- or did that famous "almost lost" thing, and this sets up perfectly for it.

11 am game
Lack of motivation
One dimensional Miles philosophy
Coming off a big SEC win

Again, not saying it will happen, but the writer is not that far off in saying we've seen this movie before - .

I just don't see it with this group. They look like they're all in for the most part.

And Harris looks like he's ready to play the part. I'm loving this guy's demeanor on the field.

Les could start taking the knee at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Harris rushes for -100.

To be fair, the author of this article is David Stone...I think it would be appropriate to add an "n" to the end of his name.

if Syracuse can force LSU to be one-dimensional

No one will force LSU to run the ball. Our young men have a want to take the opportunity to run the football and do so effectively.

However, should we desire to pass, 6 and our strong group of WR's are perfectly capable.

What the writer doesn't understand is that LSU isn't a weak passing team who has to rely on the run. Don't get me wrong, there have been years when that was the case. But that isn't true this year. The simple fact is why would you start throwing it all over the field when you've got a guy (and back ups) who are punishing SEC defenses on the ground?

I like our team.
