beth-zero sec regular season titles or tourney titles in 14 years.

Since they don't play every team every year regular season finishes are often a product of the quality of a team and the strength of their league schedule. A better gauge is the number of super regionals in addition to WCWS appearances. How do those compare?

The whole model for collegiate athletics is failing, I don’t disagree with you on that. Comparing LSU to Texas is completely unfair and misrepresents where LSU stands in the landscape.

Didn’t mean to be harsh I was drinking Texas will be the last program standing, sure, but LSU is way less fricked than the majority of programs.

This post is full of disaster syndrome extreme side hyperbole posting. You have zero clue what's going on in the athletic department. Also, everyone is dealing with paying players now. You think that only hurts LSU? I promise you a 1.3 million buyout is nothing for the AD. Just because they're not doing it doesn't mean they "can't afford it".

In about 5 years, most of these minor sports will be club sports.

Maybe it’s money but it seems like she is unhappy here.

It also is possible she realizes LSU won’t compete for championships.

There are many reasons we need to look hard at making a coaching change.

I have not seen those posts, so I’m curious who you think we can realistically get that has a proven track record. Of course if LSU could get Alameda, Gasso, Walton, etc., they would be foolish not to do, but I think our fans are delusional if they think those kinds of coaches would leave their current jobs for LSU.

we can make the same argument for teams having "WEAKER" regionals. It is all relative.

ok and how many SR have we won lately then? how many regionals have we won in the last 3 years??

go tell your opinion to OU, tennesse and florida and bama about SEC titles. You think those are not legit and worthy?

they'll laugh at you. gasso, walton, weekly and murphy will laugh at you.

Pr

i have already explained WCWS appearances. did you not read the post? go back and read my posts!

how far back do you use her WCWS chances to defend her? you think she is on the up and up after 2017? if you say yes you are being dishonest. plain and simple.

how long did it take for you to stop defending les miles after his 2007 title?

we can go on and on with these arguments.

ESPN and ABC are what make this merry go around. Louisiana is the poorest state in the nation with failing infrastuture and educational systems. There is no wealth flowing through here like Austin. I'm not posting doomsday scenarios, only present day facts. Ticket prices are going up. There is only so much that the deep money pockets will afford. It doesn't take an economist to realize whats going on in the AD. How many NIL deals could we have signed with $20,000,000.00 that dipp$schitt cost us? Softball tik prices DOUBLED this season. How many renews do you think will cancel next season because of 1. price and 2. a HC that doesn't appear to have a will to win.

You 100% about that?

The mob mentality against Beth is a bit out of hand. It's like everything is automatically her fault.

And it may be.

But does anyone even consider the other side before assigning blame?

I've seen it suggested in at least one place that Berzon can be "uncoachable". Maybe she was a cancer in the locker room? Maybe there are other factors that none of us know about. Maybe someone offered her more money than LSU could ever dream of giving? Who knows.

It's just amazing how people assume things to fit their personal narrative.

I've read that also, but if that is the case, why start her in an elimination game against Conn. AND put her in the next elimination game in a tight game in the 6th inning?

Did Berzon tell Beth if I don't start against Conn., I'm leaving? Then start and still leave? I doubt it, but it could happen.

Personally, I think Berzon couldn't handle the criticism she received this year - and it was a lot -. so she's going somewhere for her last year to take the heat off and will be accepted like a savior.

As long as it is just Berzon leaving, we will be Ok.

I think since Berzon pitched the UConn game, Beth wanted to stay away from her in the SLU game if she could.

Berzon always had Beth's trust, sometimes to a fault. Beth left Berzon in a bit too long in several games this year because of that trust.

Beth could have gone with Heavener instead of Berzon, but opted for the veteran to try to save the season.

So not being trusted by the coach is NOT a reason for Berzon leaving.

you have no clue and neither does any of us. If anything i bet it is very private between her and beth whatever the reason is. people are just making up rumors.

I don't understand her going to Clopton to start an elimination game.

I know Heavener pitched against SLU Friday, but I still would have started her with a short leash.

Let’s hope she stays or next year could be very ugly .
