Why is there any question about his decision? He is injured. His injuries cost him 4 or 5 games this season.

It's his life and it's his future. He doesn't owe anyone an explanation.

When your backup gets fed the rock 37 times and breaks your record by a yard running out the clock so O can run up the score and make a win over a shitty A&M team look good, I think it's reasonable to feel like the team moved on before you did.

So O should have sat Guice, a few yards away from the record, so LF isn't offended? Lol if your playing and someone has a chance at a record, go for it. Also I doubt LF was offended by it .

Who acts as the actual agent in Jay Z s company? Please tell me it's not Jay Z. Didn't Ricky Williams hire a rapper as his agent as a rookie and turned out as a joke?

Why does it even matter? Fournette decided Roc Nation was best for him. You folks kill me in here.

A little more than a year ago ESPN was debating whether or not LF7 should sit out the 2016 season.

A. It won't win or lose our game
B. Its a glorified scrimmage, half the coaches will be new next year
C. He has dealt with an injury all year and needs to be 1000%

Of course he should not play.

why though?

if I'm a coach, I don't need a player just standing around for 2 weeks being a distraction

I think most are okay with him sitting out the bowl game. It's the not traveling with the team, not attending the banquet, hiring an agent that rubs people the wrong way.

This is it exactly. Why couldnt he wait two weeks and support the teammates that have been supporting him the last 3 years.

Why jump ship right before the finish line.

Of course he should sit. He's had a serious sprain all year. Even if he doesn't play pro ball it isn't worth a serious permanent condition.

If we start seeing guys like Jamal Adams(who is actually projected to go higher than LF) not playing in bowl games, then we've got a problem.

In every draft scenario I've seen, Adams is behind Fournette between 10-17, with Fournette anywhere from 1-8. Curious What draft scenario you are seeing?

I'm ok with him sitting out. What I find odd is not going to the game at all. I understand it's because he now has an agent, but couldn't it wait a few weeks? Playoff teams with draft potentials won't get a rep till after the 1st. What's a couple weeks so you can at least be on the sidelines with the team? That's what I don't get.

He's not just "sitting out" the game He's straight up quit the team in every way. He could have easily participated in all team activities and still chose not to play the game.

So if you are set to graduate college after the fall semester do you graduate? Or do you owe it to your friends and fellow students to still show up to the spring semester and encourage them from outside the classroom while putting off starting your own career.

GTF out of here with that he quit bs, the coach and team said it's fine and LSU has nothing to gain from him wearing a jersey on the sideline. He's now able to meeting with agents who will be negotiating with future employers on behalf of LF
He played all year hurt for unselfish reasons and now it's time for him to worry about himself, like everyone else on this board already does

he couldn't just have waited a few more weeks and then been a game time decision? I agree with you I think he could have been a better team mate.
