SVP gives shout-out to LSU white/purple/white uniform combo...

During Monday night episode that was all NFL, at the end of a segment with Booger, he says,:
"Before I let you go, I want to go off-topic here for a moment; I've got Ryan Clark joining me here - that LSU uniform combo they wore, white helmets, purple jerseys, white pants... that was so sharp even I would look sexy in that - what do we have to do to make that a permanent thing?"
Booger replied, "that's a good-looking alternate, but we'll never replace the gold helmets, white jersey, gold pants, that's our uniform ever since we brought back the magic."
Scott repeated, "man, that was sharp."...
ESPN may hate LSU, but SVP didn't get the memo- he loves us.

ESPN doesn’t hate us since we have a offense. It’s almost like they knew our old offense couldn’t win big games and were just being journalists.

ETA: in all seriousness, it is clean but I agree with booger we can’t replace our bread and butter. Our white jerseys are as much a part of LSU as mike the Tiger and tiger stadium.

FTR, I was being facetious in throwing that in, since it's become somewhat of a cliche' around here...

It's all personal preference, but I think our traditional uniforms are the sharpest looking in all of football (college and pro). My preference would be not to mess with it. That being said, if the players want something different one game a year....why not..?

Why does everybody say ESPN hates Lsu. I couldn't imagine being so unable to see the world clearly through those purple and gold glasses. .
Is it our fan base that's more biased then others.
I tell you what, I'm starting to be convinced that nobody hates Lsu, they just hate our fans. The whole billboard ,refs never call holding on whoever we play shite gets under folks skin.
