Hes a fifth year senior. We have plenty of data on Bianco to know he sucks.

Today’s lineup really underscores a pretty big weakness of this team—right-handed hitting, especially off the bench. A few unfortunate events that contributed to it:

1. Dugas is hurt. He was having a down year, but still, missing his bat hurts.

2. Bianco’s been hurt. Also having a down year, but hasn’t been healthy enough to even have the chance to get going.

3. Milazzo’s hurt. We’re not missing his bat, but it makes it hard/dangerous to use McManus and Travinsky in the same game, much less the same lineup like we are today. And they would both be far and away our best RH pinch hitters if Milazzo was catching.

4. We just plain ol’ whiffed on Merrifield. A lot of y’all have probably already forgotten he’s even on the team. I did. When’s the last time he played?

So a team that was already pretty left-handed heavy at the plate ran into some back luck with some righties and made it even worse. We really need Dugas and Milazzo to come back before the postseason if possible. Be nice is Bianco could get on a heater. I think Merrifield’s a lost cause at this point.

Jesus Christ, Dylan Crews fricking destroyed that ball.

I member when everyone thought McManus was a bum. Until, of course, started to get more regular at bats

Sample size

Or when people thought Digiacomo was going to hit .350 because he got hot for a weekend

Sample size

Four years of being a poor hitter for Bianco isn't a small sample size though.

258/400/468 last year from start of SEC play thru the postseason when he got regular playing time

That’s the fruit of his latest, largest sample size of regular playing time.

That is above average SEC hitting when the media OPS is around .720

Do the math, or just look stupid because of whatever bias you or holding on to. That’s on you

Lester, you've done this in multiple threads talking about Bianco. I don't have any bias about Bianco. Neither does anyone else. Most oeiole just don't want to see a player that's 1 for 17 in the lineup. And you always say from start of SEC play to finish when talking about last year, but really his average jumped about 50 points late in the year against Arkansas Tennessee and Oregon. Besides that he was a 0.200 hitter all of last season. That's cool though. I know you've been pushing for him to play. I guess we'll just continue to watch him come to the plate with a batting average below 0.100.

I've literally never pumped up Digiaccomo. Talk about lazy posting. You keep throwing me into a Digiaccomo crowd to make me look bad on a message board. Lol. Meanwhile Ive probably hitched about Digiaccomo as much as I have about Bianco. Meanwhile Bianco is batting 0.058

Have you watched his ABs Lester? They’re rarely even competitive. You really don’t have a leg to stand on except for 3 series last year in his entire career. And even then the stats are weak as frick. Deflect to Gio all you want. He hit over 0.300 in SEC last year. And he was on fire before my thread. It sucks that he sucked. I was wrong. I can handle that. But you’ll never be right about Bianco. Never.

UGA just intentionally walked a lefty to get to the right handed Bianco with a lefty on the mound.

Can it get any more embarrassing for Bianco? 1 for 19 and lefties are walking lefties to get to you. fricking yikes.

At what point does Johnson realize going with the lefty freshman Pearson or Stevenson is better than walking righty Bianco up there?

No. The OF was just shifted poorly. It was any easy fly but the CF was way out of position.

I can’t be wrong about him, that’s the thing.

I haven’t made definitive statements about his talents other than he had success last year against the best part of the schedule, and deserves ABs to see if he is the guy for the revolving 3rd OF spot.

I am into data & sample sizes & you are into getting into your emotions that fuel your biases. I’ll never be like that

at what point does it enter your data sheet? 1 for 18 during his senior year in college?

He absolutely does not deserve ABs over Stevenson. That’s fricking laughable.

There should be no revolving 3rd outfield spot now that Pearson and Stevenson have grabbed the spots by the throat and earned their positions.
