1. They made this change way after they went to study with the saints

2. People forget that the saints outside of Graham still use TE as blockers too. And Graham was basically used as a large WR.

That’s the problem, Graham created mismatches not because he was a TE but because he is 6’ 7” 265 pounder who can run and jump.

Who’s gonna cover that guy? He as one point tries to get himself classified as a WR.

This thread was interesting to read through.

Started with yahoos saying unbeatable the Tiger players are.

Turned into a typical rant childish pissing contest.

Turned into the truth for a short period. The fact that we are talking about this is great because there seems to be actual offensive thought going on

Then turned back into childish arguments.

When was this change made because I’m just now hearing about it this week. I’ve been heard about them meeting with the saints. FM will be our blocking TE what’s stopping Ensminger from using Sullivan how the Saints use Graham?

How well it works depends on Sullivan playing like a smaller Jimmy Graham.

I dont think Teams are gonna great Sullivan as anything more than a WR

so we wont get any different mismatches than we woudl if we lined him up as a WR>

He is still 6' 6" so there will be mismatches, but i don't think teams will give us the TE on LB matchup we want to take advantage of.

He’s 6’6” so he’s a mismatch regardless

But just calling him a TE doesn’t mean defenses will treat him like a TE if he never blocks.

More like the dude had like 8 foot long arms and that aren’t made for blocking.

I saw so much potential from him last season but you know Jerry Sullivan wants perfection. Jefferon and Giles seem to have locked top 2 spots with Chase fighting VERY hard each practice. Idk much about Stephen's ability to run routes, etc but he was a pretty good playmaker whenever he got the ball. Would be nice to have at least one big body WR imo

I think he can be a weapon this year, especially in the red zone. I don't see anything wrong with Jerry Sullivan wanting perfection though, running precise routes is what gets you separation/open, instead of half assing it and rounding off the route. Eddie Kennison would have had a monster career in the NFL had he ran more precise routes, instead he tried to rely on his sheer speed and it didn't always work because they all can run in the NFL.

agree - A college staff seeing a need and helping a young man find his place that helps his chance for NFL payday is all good

A 4 WR set with a hybrid TE is a tough call for any DC

at 6'7" he is a walking miss-match

Him and Drake always look pretty ducking good.

Idk what goes on but they just never see the field.

I cant Objectively comment in Chase, because I think every Rummel player should start all 4 years.
