Stugotz is literally only "well known" because he is the show punching bag and always agrees to do the most ridiculous shite for ratings. He's the Steve-o of ESPN.

It all comes down to Wins and Losses!

Coach O gets off to a 4-0 or 5-0 start nobody even remembers this conversation.

It's funny how the Media is bitching about no access but the people (like myself) who pay for the lights to work do not care.

Media think because their job is to cover LSU that they should have access because it's their job. They do have access just not to practice.

While blocking the media out is probably unnecessary, the complaining from the national/local media is COMPLETELY self-serving. Their entire relies on reporting information about others. If LSU blocks their access to information, they have nothing to report (other than their opinions). They are angry that they don't get the access (not granted to the average fan) to view things that they can then report (practice videos, what they saw at practice, etc.). LSU has bypassed them by putting out their own videos of practice.

It's kind of like car salesmen. If the manufacturer can sell directly to the customer, then there is really no need for the dealership. The car dealer is going to fight hard to keep his access to the marketplace. The media is the same way in this instance. LSU is going directly to the consumers. Without access, the media doesn't have anything to show us or write about that LSU hasn't just told us/showed us directly.

Why am I going to watch WBRZ when I can just go to LSU's website and watch the ONLY video of practice myself?

Agreed

W's are all that matters no one will give 2 flying shits if LSU gets 10-11 wins. Except for the media.

This lock down had more to do with team focus and limiting distractions than anything.

Man knows he has to win with little to no grace period. Why would he care if T Bob gets his panies in a wad

Who cares if it looks bad. A lot of people are talking about LSU because of it. It doesn't hurt LSU in any way.

I think the main issue that the media has here is that they think that they are "important," and as such, they have a right to access LSU's practice.

LSU let them know that they are actually not important at all, and that LSU doesn't need them to prepare for the season.

So, their feelings are hurt.

LSU has the unequivocal right to deny access to football practice to anyone. Get over it.

It does not benefit LSU one iota to have the media present while they try to install a new offense.

Well, though it is increasingly rare, there is some value in good media coverage.

I don't have any interest in news that comes from the team. It's propaganda. Coach O is always going to say everyone's doing a tremendous job.

I need to hear the things that aren't going so well either and the media has to be the one to bring that to the public.

I tried to listen to the show on Monday. I was in the truck for 20 minutes and heard not one comment about sports. Definitely a show that's specifically for entertainment and not about sports.

Precisely the problem.

And it also looks fishy when Etling says that CEH took two 60+ yarders to the house...then O comes out and says he ran 6 times for 19 yards.

I dont believe a word they say.

Do you believe any of them? Look at Ole Miss for Pete's sake.

Stugotz is a bumbling fool.

Bingo.

But then again, O always tells these posters the truth.

Had to google Stugotz to determine my level of care.

National exposure on ESPN is good no matter what Stugotz said as long as he spelled LSU and O right! I suspect he did.
