The eye is considered the most calm part of the storm...

you people realize even if the game is moved to TS they'll make it up by playing in Gainesville next year, right?
Thats not the way this works.

Just FYI this is where the hurricane is predicted to be when we play. But it doesnt mean much. If Gainesville gets hit even with just 40-50mph winds that would cause a lot of power outages and emergency personnel would be spread thin.

You guys are unbelievable. We are talking about a Category 3 hurricane more than likely causing the entire east coast of Florida north of Miami to evacuate. Do not kid yourselves. If the storm stays on its current path, it is going to be REALLY REALLY bad.

man ppl gettin worked up over TAF just making precautionary moves just in case...

If I'm Florida here is what I say. There is a ninety five percent chance that the State of Emergency declared by the governor will be lifted on Friday so the game Saturday goes as scheduled. If LSU wants to prepare for the 5 percent chance the State of Emergency goes into Saturday then I can't control what LSU does.
so weird.
Again, this is not a PREDICTION. It is preparation because IF the worst happens (storm track shifts westward), it takes a monumental effort to prepare.
JEEBUS.....it just makes sense because there IS a chance.
Yes, it is likely to be in FL. But, these decisions MUST be made in advance by several days.

Does anyone remember that ULM game from 2004 or so when the fairly minor TS made landfall? I was on the front row of the student section standing in about 6-8 inches of water. Now it rains more the drizzle and my arse in on the ramp playing on my phone.

And I'm fairly certain that they are working closely with UF to have this as a backup plan instead of just winging it. This is not their first time at the rodeo.

Actually, they do a majority of the grunt work in the ticket office. So, they are pretty integral to the whole thing.

I was told by a band member that it's going to be in Florida.
Posted on 10/4/16 at 12:50 pm to KingBeingking
Dude they're still meeting about it on the conference call at this moment. No one in the band knows anything for certain yet

That settles it. Everyone can quit talking about it now!

Did the band member also tell you he hates piped in music?
