The students have always added stuff to the songs.
Everyone used to chant "a-hole, a-hole" during Tiger Rag
People still chant "Kick their arse" as part of the first down cheer.

Yeah, I think honestly it's great to have something thats "in" and part of tradition....
BUT...
Yes, I do think that it's taken a little too far now. It's not used at approriate timiing and loses its luster when it's actually used correctly.
When the band would play Neck the timing was spot on and it was used correctly.
Now, it's just tossed in and glazed over any band song LSU has and kills the vibes.
If you are "new" to LSU (which plenty have hopped on the bandwagon) you absolutely LOVE it and think its the COOLEST thing ever
If you have been around, you understand the timing of it.
***This isn't even tapping into the element of age appropriate language. As a youth obv I loved it, as a dad now its one of those things you cringe a little, but also want to let them feel that little cool feeling of ooooh no

People are going to do what people are going to do. The only reason I’m really conflicted about this is I bring my young kids to the games and they hear it. In trying to shelter them and keep them innocent as long as I can - I don’t like how many times they hear it during a game.
But there’s also nothing I can do about it.

It used to make sense. The chant ‘fit’ the song neck… now they just do it in the middle of whatever song the band is playing and it sounds retarded

If it’s the LSU brand and they are so proud of this; it’s an embarrassment to the university. If you don’t mind your kids and grandkids being subjected to this idiotic behavior then you have a problem.
