Well we havent gotten many good players(or havent coached them up enough) since he admitted that. I think he thinks too much about the bats and gets small ball hitter instead of getting hitters like UF FSU UCLA and teams like those
He admitted it last year. So the incoming class this fall is the first one to be signed since then. And the groundwork for them was set up long before that.

Eta: Ucla has to be the favorite on their side of the bracket. FSU will obviously choke. Correct?

We do recruit good hitters who may not hit for power, but they can't enhance their abilities without a decent hitting coach to work on their technique.

Moscona is a douche :lol but yea im pissed we lost to stony brook too and we didnt make omaha. However when i look at it we did better than i expected this year. Last weekend was fricking painful to watch, no doubt, but i dont feel the need to fire our coach. Javi on the other hand can gtfo but i dont make the decisions.
My question is when should we expect to be better and make another trip to Omaha? If you didn't expect it this year, and we are 3 years removed from being there, how long should it take to rebuild and return? I mean, Gausman is gone now. He was dominant. Do you see it next year? I dont if our hitting doesn't improve. And honestly, I see no signs of that happening. Not to mention losing some stellar infielders in Nola and Hanover. Gonna be tough to see Omaha next year IMO.

Of course they will be. Haven't you seen the classy LSU fans holding up the "Geaux Steauxny Brook" sign? I'm so proud.

SB just got screwed on that play at home base.

That's what so upsetting about getting so close. Who knows when we'll next be one game from Omaha. Could be soon, could be years. Our pitching has improved, but our hitting seems to have regressed.

I was saying they did better than i expected at the beginning of the season. Once the tournament started i definately expected us to make omaha which is what made last weekend that much tougher.
As far as next year i think our offense will be much better. Our pitching all depends on who steps up to be a starter on the weekend. Little Nola is really good and with another year working with dunn he should get even better. The other two spots are up in the air. Eades has the talent but he was wore down and wasnt very good at the end of this year. Our bullpen should be really good again. Defensively we will be a little worse on the infield (you can't replace nola's d) and better in the outfield.
I'll reserve a prediction until i see how the starting rotation sets up. As of right now i expect LSU to be a top 8 team next year.
