Does LSU not have the "eye" trademarked? I can't imagine they don't. I'd be sending a letter to Stillman telling them to kindly come up with their own helmet logo.

LSU has some of the best looking most distinctive uniforms in college football. Why change it, makes no sense.

This helmet probably isn't the answer, but something needs to be done to freshen our helmet.
The Tiger head is unrecognizable (even with the apparently new helmet tiger head coming out this year, it's still far too detailed).
The letters look like they were stuck on with electrical tape. They have absolutely no relation to our more recent Geaux font. They look ancient.
To those who resist change based on "tradition," certainly they must realize that the helmet has been changed numerous times over the years. Nothing wrong with freshening it up now.
