You think a QB coach like Jimbo wanted to handcuff the best LSU QB in decades and his trio of NFL wideouts in favor of running headlong into the line all damn day? Give me a break. That was a Miles gameplan and it cost us a shot at playing for the championship.
One game, 5 years ago, with baseless accusations, will affect what happens this entire season?

Okay, so you don't care that he's an alcoholic that embarrasses himself and his school?
I don't see Texas Tech being embarrassed. You??
He's one of the best in the nation.

I hope you also know that he is the OC at West Virginia, who we play this year. I'd hate to let that get in your way, though.
What's your point?

This sucks on all accounts!! I wish Krags and his family the best though!

It might and it might not. I'm in the "it might" camp. Win or lose, it's Leslie's arse on the line if this season goes to shite, not mine.

Before everyone jumps off the deep end, please read the below from Studrawa's bio when he was the offensive coordinator for Bowling Green. Also Kragthorpe will coach the QB's I hope his health remains good for his family's sake, but dont panic about the tigers.
Studrawa was a nominee for the Broyles Award, given annually to the nation's top assistant coach, in 2004. Last year, the Falcons finished second in the MAC in rushing and center Kory Lichtensteiger was named first-team All-MAC.
In 2005, he oversaw an offense which finished second in the league in passing (283.9) and scoring (33.8) and was third in the league in pass efficiency (142.4). They ranked 17th, 18th and 21st nationally in those respective categories.
Individually, he saw four of his players including quarterback Omar Jacobs, offensive linemen Derrick Markray and Lichtensteiger and wide receiver Charles Sharon earn second-team All-MAC honors. Jacobs, Sharon and running back P.J. Pope also ended their careers among the top performers at their position in BGSU history. Pope was invited to play in the Hula Bowl and Jacobs (O'Brien Award) and Sharon (Biletnikoff Award) were semifinalists for national honors at their respective positions.
In 2004, BGSU finished second nationally in total offense with a MAC record 506.3 yards per game and were third in passing (338.3) and turnover margin (1.25), and fourth in in pass efficiency (165.5) and scoring offense (44.3, also a MAC record).
The Falcon offense had four games of 50 points or more and averaged 49.4 ppg. over its last nine games in 2004. He saw Omar Jacobs named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the nation in TD passes with a MAC record 41 and in points responsible for at 22.5 points per game. In addition, Jacobs was second in the nation in passing (33.5) and total offense (358.5) and his 41 TD to 4 interception passing ratio was an NCAA record Running back P.J. Pope was also fourth in the nation in scoring (10.5 ppg.) and wide receiver Charles Sharon set a BGSU record with 15 TD receptions.
Studrawa also guided an offensive line that allowed a league-low 11 sacks. Three members of that interior line were named All-MAC, including left tackle Rob Warren (first team), center Scott Mruczkowski (second team) and left guard Kory Lichtensteiger (second team). They were joined by Jacobs (first team) and Pope (second team) on the All-MAC squad. Jacobs also earned All-American honors and Lichtensteiger was named Freshman All-American. Mruczkowski also played in the East/West Shrine game.
In 2003, BGSU ranked third in the country in total offense, 11th in passing, 14th in pass efficiency and 18th in rushing. Studrawa and the Falcons saw quarterback Josh Harris earn All-American honors and watched running back P.J. Pope and center Scott Mruczkowski earn first-team All-MAC accolades. In addition, the Falcons broke six team offensive records in 2003 and four more individual single-season marks.

Studrawa has been appointed to coordinator.
What happened to Offensive Coordinator in Waiting Billy Gonzales? Urban didn't want him as OC and now apparently neither does Les. He seems a better fit for interim OC than Stud. (Even though Stud has OC experience)
BTW, did Kragthorpe just now contract Parkinsons? Did he have it when hired as OC? Why is he able to coach QB's but NOT be OC?

After skimming over stud's experiance, I see why he was chosen. He will be just fine as OC. It would just suck to have tension among staff members. I do think if they all work together well, the combination of Stud, Gonzo, and SK will still be better than Crowton.

From what I heard not much will change. Its just taking Krags out of the limelight with media interviews, etc..

I obviously misspoke there. He is the Head Coach at WVU now, so you're not getting him here as OC.

i know you are not saying that with a smile on your face. not sure I feel the same way. Still gun shy after the Malveto debacle.
I think Stud was Miles boy and he will be easier for Miles to manage. I don't have an opinion on Miles as OC. But I hope these guys let Steve do what he does best with Jefferson and Mett.

Yeah, they think he contracted it from a toilet seat at Acme Oyster House.

I optimistically think this is a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to what is obviously a horrible diagnosis. Kragthorpe will be able to be more involved with the O than he thinks. You don't go from Parkinson’s diagnosis to present day Michael J. Fox in one football season.

One of my all-time favorite Aggie coaches.
Horrible news.
Best wishes to Krag, his family, and his doctors.

Kragthorpe said from day one that, given JJ and the offense they have, he wasn't so much installing a new system as tweaking and simplifying what they already knew - for this year at least. If he were wholesale re-making the offense (like Fla. going from Meyer to Weiss) I'd be more worried. The timing sucks, but taking the long view, let's hope it's not as big a shock as some are making it out to be.

Big mistake in my opinion, many more qualified candidates on the Tiger Rant.

Jimbo sucked as an OC and he will suck at FSU.

Krags and Stud will both be in the press box side by side. IMO, he still will be involved in the playing calling
