First time I’ve heard anyone from the media mention that he quit on LSU

props for Stephen a reminding us that he quit on LSU also

I used to be a Simmons fan but he seems to quit on every team he played for including lsu

While I don’t think Johnny Jones was elite or would even be still the coach, lsu was on the rise when Simmons got here, Simmons wrecked everything

Jones did prove that lsu basketball has potential even if he didn’t actually achieve it himself

Jones gets a really bad review on here but I would take him over Johnson

Jones was also a really good recruiter which includes simmons, Blakeney, Martin, Quarterman, Mickey, and Sampson

People like Ben Simmons are at the top of my list for reasons to not watch the NBA.

Stephen A I know is annoying on ESPN. But I do believe he just acts like that bc his producers tell him to. I’ve heard him in several news pod casts and radio shows over the years and he is nothing like he is on ESPN. He’s calm collected and actually makes great points. But money talks as the old saying goes.

He's admitted multiple times publicly that it's performative for ratings. I've also seen and heard him out of character and he's a different dude.

he knows there’s a MASSIVE flaw in his game (he can’t shoot). That’s chewing him up inside.

Yet he still demands that he be paid superstar money. Superstars don't have those massive holes in their games, you fricking entitled idiot.

That is what's going to push him out of the NBA. No one wants to pay too dollar for a flawed talent who quits in his teammates.

Imagine how bad that Brooklyn locker room is with KD, Kyrie and Ben???

I hated the year Ben Simmons was here. Turned me off to LSU basketball, which seems to always be in some form of turmoil.

People like Ben Simmons are slowly ruining their sports

NBA was ruined when the players got way too much power. Its basically a personality driven league.

LeBron and his agency actively work to manipulate the NBA

It’s always been a personality driven league. The difference now is the personalities suck and are totally unlikable.

I do not like Stephen A at all…I think he is nothing but a loud-mouthed blow hard. However, he got this one right.

Ben Simmons is the opposite end of the spectrum from a Michael Jordan or Tom Brady in the killer instinct department. If his stat line looks healthy, he will vanish at the end of games no matter what the stakes.

Watching Ben Simmons act like this in the NBA should be the least surprising thing to anyone who followed him at LSU. He has the weakest killer instinct of any star player I’ve ever seen

I remember when Ben Simmons barely touched the ball in the final ten minutes of a back and forth game vs. #1 Oklahoma. This board went ape shite because Johnny Jones didn’t draw up plays for Simmons. I think many are finally realizing that Ben Simmons wants nothing to do with the ball in crunch time of any big games. He’s an embarrassment to LSU.

Don't even consider him a Tiger.

This post got a surprising amount of upvotes considering that it’s been split roughly 50-50 for a long time. I think he’s a quitter and not a Tiger personally and been pushing that since they missed the tourney that year

Also NBA shouldn’t be surprised when a quitter continues to be a quitter. At some point, it’s a personality trait

Every team he has ever had association with the fan base has turned to absolutely hate him. LSU, Philly even his home country Australia. He hasn't played for their national team once. Everything surrounding Ben has been self contributed, the KID is a joke. When you see an LSU fan wearing a Simmons jersey you know their a fake fan.

and earlier in the season Simmons passed up a game-winning shot against Marquette. Even the no-name TV commentator was shocked by that.

And then, as you mentioned, was the Oklahoma debacle, where Simmons flat-out HID in the second half. Vitale and Musberger were BEGGING Simmons to engage, but he hid.

That tells you everything about Simmons. He has no killer instinct, and he knows HE CAN'T SHOOT.

And then there was the playoff game last year where he passed up a dunk (literally) to pass to a teammate. That sealed it for Simmons in Philly.
