1-19 in our last 20 SEC road games.

We have lost 9 of our last 11 SEC series, overall.

Since the middle of last year? We're 7-26.

I wonder where the "we are just suffering from bad baseball fortune" crowd is this afternoon?

This is beyond annoying. It hurts to watch LSU boot balls, make errors, & play bad fundamentally. We aren't this bad.

We just aren't.

This is just poor coaching.

EDIT: Swept 6 times since last year. Five times on the road, and even once at home.

Sigh...

it hard to accept but

Josh look I'm not going to sit here and play mental hopscotch with you tonight going back and forth over what you said. You may love to argue as a hobby, but I can't stand that shite.

I offered Tim Tadlock from Oklahoma, very few others have mentioned possible hitting coach possibilities to replace Sanchez

You and I have argued in the past on Grewe. I have been away for awhile. Have you changed your stance on him? And no, I'm not trying to start another argument or say I told you so. Just curious.

The issue is with assistants. There may be more going on than just shitty coaching by the assistants and lacking team unity. This is a pretty dramatic fall for LSU baseball considering it can recruit with anybody in the country.

This in itself is one of the concerns. Because we are LSU, we recruit the most sought after players and get them. Only to lose the majority of the "big time" players to the MLB draft which leaves the cupboard bare!

Kinda like Russian Roulette .. you have no idea who will actually come to school!

This really isn't true. I have seen it repeated many times but LSU has talent. Still has very highly rated recruiting classes.

Pitiful- even a mediocre to bad team should win 5 of 20

truly amazing that this can be said about LSU baseball.

we just suck. Worst team I have seen LSU field in 20+ years.

Agreed. We have talent to win and even for those fans that say well maybe the talent is over rated well we should still be at the least a 500 ball club in sec. The piss poor pre conference schedule obviously did nothing but pad our record. Definitely didn't prepare us for SEC play.

We are LSU dammit and too many fans are OK with the product on the field. There is no excuse to have a team this bad. Best facilities, great tradition, coaches highly compensated, fans are the best in the nation yet we suck!

Why is this acceptable at LSU? At what point do the fans that always see the silver lining in a loss finally face reality...this program is tanking.

I'm on the fence about him, we argued about it last year, its another year with some guys improving and some like Eades and Tyler Jones not improving. I will form a better opinion of Grewe after the season is over, but I'm pretty much done with Sanchez

Yet, in all of that drivel, you failed to mention we still won the SEC tourney last year.

So, looking back over the last two years, is this LSU team what we saw this weekend, or what we saw in Hoover last year?

I'd say that the team's tournament performance in Hoover was the exception that proves my rule.

Don't let statistics, trends, & cold hard math get in the way of your lack of perspective, though. Attack people who are merely showing you the ugly ineptitude that is an unfortunate reality with our beisbol team.

those stats are pretty telling. this is way passed "bad baseball fortune". pm needs to realize that he can cherry pick assts from around the country. not necessarily promote a grad asst. i am not saying sanchez is the only problem, but pointing out that this offseason we will see if pm thinks he can just wave a magic wand and fix things.

i think his arrogance will ultimately get him fired.

Manieri will not hire any assistant coaches because he is afraid he will be hiring his replacement...just like DiNardo didn't want to hire Rich Rodriguez as OC when Morris Watts had to be replaced.

Sorry folks, it will be Grewe, Sanchez and Davis again in 2012 unless they leave on their own

if the staff stays the same for 2012, they will be shopping for completely new bunch in 2013.

x's, and o's notwithstanding, this staff seems to have allowed (or caused, depending on whom you might blame for this) the team have completely lost confidence. to me this is more important that "knowing baseball". this is 18-20 yr olds, not professionals.
