What should the starting OL look like in light of Ed Ingram's return?

For Utah State I wouldn't be surprised if ut us

Charles
MAgee
Cushenberry
Lewis
Deculus

after that who knows.

He hasn't practiced with this team in a LONG time. but clearly he is talented.

Ingram will get reps.

I don’t care if he starts or not. Reps are important.

O said in his presser today that Adrian was first team right now and Ed had to beat him out. Then he follows up with he expects Ed to be the starter soon with Adrian floating to any guard or tackle spot.

In addition, Adrian did not practice today, so Ed started with the ones. I watched the drills and it looks like Ed isn’t missing a beat.

I would get him as many reps in as possible on both sides of line. I’m not sure how much of the playbook he’s aware of, but I’d imagine he’s somewhat up to speed on calls for the spots.

Magee now becomes the first guy off the bench for any OL spot except center.

Is there any way to have Magee and Ingram on the line at the same time or will they be rotating in throughout the game?

I like the sound of, Charles, Cushenberry, Magee and Ingram on the same line.

Just realized looking at this thread that right now we have

LT-Charles
LG-Ingram/Magee
C-Cushenberry
RG-Lewis
RT- Deculus

And next year

LT- Charles/rosenthal
LG-Ed Ingram
C- Hines
RG- Kardell / Bradford
RT- Deculus / rosenthal

It looks like we’ve actually got some pretty good OL depth going forward. Still obviously need to land dumerville or Crawford but things are looking pretty good for the foreseeable future.

Ingram will not replace Magee right now. Magee is playing too good!

I think so too. I think Ingram will probably rotate at both guards though to get him back ready. Regardless it’s a really good problem to have heading into the second half of our schedule.

It can only help the 2nd team guys to have the leadership from Magee or Ingram working with them.

Since Ingram was our starting RG, I would like to see him get reps there as well. To give a breather for Lewis and Magee keeps everyone ready and rested, and slowly works Ed back into top form, and comfortable with the new offense.

Cushenberry is only a JR. I highly doubt he goes pro. He would have a very good shot at the Remington Award next year.
