This is who I see as the Tigers OL :
Tackles: Tyree Adams & Emery Jones
Guards: Paul Mbenga & Carius Curne
Center: Coen Echols
Tight end: Ka’Morreun Pimpton

So what you think? Solid group with Brad Davis coaching them?

So you think we're moving on from the true freshman that started every game at center for us this year?

Solomon Thomas is going to get a chance to start IMO

He was a RS freshman. And he’ll at least have competition next year. Whether he starts or not will be seen, but we’ll finally have some quality depth and competition at practice to put the best player on the field possible at center.

Solomon Thomas

Is he that good? It's hard to start on the line as a true freshman. Yall forget what an anomaly Campbell and Jones were. I'd expect Chester to make a big jump too and move to Guard. We will probably get a Center from the portal. We don't want to be starting all these freshmen on the line every year. These aren't WRs, most of them need 2 full years in a college strength program before they're ready

Early in the season when Chester was struggling at center I heard more than once from radio personalities that Coen Echols would be our center next year. Also Coach Kelly said that freshman C. Curnes was one of the strongest linemen he’s ever seen, strong enough to play in the SEC right now.

Chester seems more like a guard to me.

If there is a better option I would hope so. He had a rough year.

I think you will see 1, maybe 2 experienced IOL brought in from the portal to challenge Echols, Chester and Mubenga. They could end up being your starters. At Center and/one Guard spot.

Key could end up pushing for a starting tackle spot. Remember that Adams is really versatile, so he could potentially slide inside to Guard if Key looks ready early.

Curne may be good enough to start at Guard. I’m not sure I would call him a day one starter until we see what everything looks like in the Spring, but as with Key, he will be in the mix.

With the right portal adds, next year’s OL could be better in the run game, despite all of the lost experience. We’ve got a ton of potential with Davis, Key, and Curne.

He’s 6’ 6”. That’s pretty tall for a Center. They tend to keep a better center of gravity while and after snapping if they are shorter and more compact. It’s easy for a taller guy to struggle getting leverage quickly after getting the snap off.

If Jones comes back, he probably wants to move to guard for NFL scouts

Ethan Pocic is 6'7" and is still a center in the league.

Weston Davis and Emory Jones at tackle, transfer center, battle between Chester, Echols, Curne, Tyree, Solomon Thomas, transfer for guards. Ethan Calloway should be a good tackle backup/rotational piece.

I have no idea with Davis coaching them. Finding a better OLine coach would be a high priority if I was the HC, but I'm not, so we will probably watch more of the same next year and beyond.

We have plenty great prospects on current roster and 4 highly regarded recruits to compete. It’s just not good that none or very few of these have much game experience.
Chester and Mubengs need to be told to hit the portal
