Started following Derek Ponamsky on Twitter today. I think he earned our respect.

I mean...Derek Ponamsky has always been a bit of a meme, to say the least.

But even taking this seriously...

What has the head coach's personal assistant done to absorb any of the respect earned by the head coach and the assistant coaches of this team?

Wtf did he do to earn respect. He’s not a coach or player.

He lobbied for him, but he didn’t GET him hired. O’s interim success and two people turning down the job did that.

Will never like him, so I’ll pass. Won’t bash I supposed, but I won’t follow him.

As O’s asst., he got him to meetings on time prepared and ready to represent the program.

He appeared to do a good job acting as a buffer to the “outside” so that O could address things that are necessary and avoid things that are not.

O is a great ambassador for LSU and La. and DP should get some credit for that.

He's also Tiger Ree and probably Buckeye Jeaux. Two of the most respected and beloved posters on this site.

Derek's binder tweet the day after the title game was top notch Trump level tweeting.
