Awesome to have him back for another year.

I never really understood the people saying he'd go pro after this year. I don't believe he projects well to the next level. That's not a slight against him. He's a hell of a college player and was an important/integral part of our championship team this year. I just think we've seen close to his ceiling.

Sounds like that is why Larson announced the move to Texas.

Who is going to be the centerfielder? Radio and TV announcers were saying at the end of this season how Curiel was gonna be the CF next season.

Whoever Jay feels is best for us to win. May alternate some during the year before tournament time.

The “obsession “ is most I would think wanted him to succeed here. Nothing wrong with that. Somebody saw something more than you to get him on campus. Sometimes it works out. Think a new beginning will be good for him. No reason to act like we shouldn’t have signed him.

I looked up his high school highlights a while ago and I was shocked at his rating and the fact that he was even a take for LSU. There are 50+ kids every year in Louisiana that are better than him, let him go to Texas

This is just so fricking stupid. He was a take for Jay and Co. but Forever, the poster on TD, says he's not all that good.

He was also Freshman All-SEC, IIRC. You won't find 50+ kids every year in Louisiana that are that good.

Sadly, for the state of Louisiana, you will find 50+% of the state's population to be as dumb as Forever.

not trying to be a dick but his production was on a downward trajectory in the back half of the season. He went 3/19 (.158) in Omaha. In our last 13 SEC games, he went 8/37 (.216). He had one multi-hit game from April 18 through the end of the season

He had some clutch hits in big moments but I wouldn't say his play down the stretch was "consistent"

Can you say a player is consistent overall when he’s not offensively…?

He also had more defensive lapses down the stretch if you really want to get into it.

I absolutely fricking love this. I don't care how good or bad anyone thinks he is. No one will be able to convince me that Stanny wasn't a pivotal piece to the '25 championship.

Way to go out on a limb to say that our starting CF that hit almost .300 in the 9 hole was a key piece to the championship
